3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Fresh bottle from jbruner. Pours midnight black with little to no head. Aroma is símores, a bit of chocolate, fir tree, pine cone. Taste is sweet, light/medium body with decent amount of combination. Interesting play between the dark, roasty/chocolatey malt and hops (what style?). Not bad.

22 Oz Bottle shared by WeeHeavySD in a hotle room in vegas. pours nice black with a thick beige head. Hoppy aroma with ints of roasty malt. Flavor is very well balenced with some nice roasty and sweet notes offset with some bittering hops in the finsih but not so much, fbody is fairly light and easy drinking. very tasty and nearly sessionable.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
(22oz bottle) Black body and a medium, creamy chocolate head. Smooth roasted malt aroma, lightly smoky, dark chocolate, espresso. The hops that werenít present in the aroma come through in the taste: at first in the front along with light acidity, fading on the way back with a roasted chocolate finish, and the hops coming back in the after taste. Floral and citrus notes. Medium- to full-bodied with lots of lace left on the glass.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
22oz. pours near black with a nice creamy looking tan head. very stout looking... aroma is pine and hint of citrus. mouthful has a huge pine forest with a little cream mouth feel. hard to find the roasted malt for a while, but comes around in the finish, which lingers with big hops as well. i would put this on high on the BIPA list, which is not too long...

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tried both on tap and in bottle. The tap version had a much more pungent dry hopped aroma. Unfortunately this was lacking in the bottle. Medium body and bitterness with roasted undertones. It was definitely better on tap, but the bottle wasnít bad.

Nice beer. Alcahol hidden very well for those not crazy about high gravity beers. I would classify as a hoppy porter.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
This beer pours as black as an imperial stout. Smells like one too. However it taste like one might expect with a roasted hop flavor that finishes clean and smooth. Awesome

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
This poured a very dark brown with very little foam. What little foam there was did leave a nice lacing on the glass though. Arom had some strong earthy notes of the simco hop. First taste has the very earthy and grassy hops blast through the palate. This is tempered on the aftertaste by the dark malts, which imbue some hints of dark roast bitter coffee. In the end, the dark coffee and hops come together to make a rather interesting bitter but enjoyable experience.
