3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
$6.99 bomber from Wine Warehouse, CHO.
Blonde with way too much off-white head. Smells of bubblegum, maple, pine, citrus. Taste is candy, leaves, citrus, pine, fruit. Interesting.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 16/20
Strong peach nose. Hazy golden, thick head, good lacing, gushed out of the bottle, effervescent for a very long time, would not settle down. Peach and mango flavor. Slightly musty pear finish. Very harsh mouthfeel, medium body, alcohol evident. This was an old bottle that held up pretty well. The hops fell out, but it left a delightfully fruity yet way overcarbonated farmhouse ale.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
Clear orange to copper pour with white head. Aroma vacancies citrus rind. A light funk becomes apparent as it sits. Taste is watered down version of the nose.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Crisp, slightly cloudy light amber and copper coloured body with a ridiculously large, white, billowy head about six centimetres tall. Aroma of yeast, coriander seed, curacao, full oranges, grass, hay and hops. Medium-bodied; Pungent alcohol shows up first with some yeast notes, a lot of wheat and grassy flavours and a large and assertive hop character that has a lot of herbal elements. Aftertaste shows a good balance of grass, hay, yeast, alcohol, spices and earth with a very floral flavour. Overall, a very nice white IPA with a ton of flavour and even better complexity with a dry finish. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Vienna, Virginia on 09-August-2014 for US$8,99 sampled at home in Washington on 16-October-2014.

Bottle: The aroma consists of tropical fruits, citrus, light bretty sweet tart notes, and a hint of banana. It pours a transparent amber with a large white head that has great retention before eventually fading to a thick soapy film. There is a good amount of soapy webbing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with a quick dose of citrus. The finish has moderate-heavy banana, moderate bubblegum, light pepper, and a touch of grapefruit. It’s light bodied with lively (bordering on prickly) carbonation. Overall, I’ve had Belgian IPAs before and like them, but the banana and bubblegum is too strong in this one and it doesn’t work so well.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle: Poured a yellow color ale with some hazy white hue and a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of coriander and wheat malt with some light citrusy hops is quite pleasant. Taste is also a well balanced mix between some coriander and other spices with light fruity ester with some light dry citrus hops and light sweet rustic malt which may contain some wheat. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. This beer is not necessarily earth shattering but well enjoyable with good drinkability.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Shared bomber poured to snifters, displaying a hazed, orangey gold color, with a frothy layer of soft white head foam. and wavy lacing. The nose was Grand Marnier/Cointreau-like orange, with peach, light spice, and some alcohol presence. Less than medium bodied but effervescent, the taste contributed a low, citrus & rind hop bitterness, and was definitely less expressive than the aroma, but nicely drinkable.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bomber. Nose is very herbal, very spicy -- a raid of the spice cabinet and resultant inclusion of everything, and is a bit more herbal but otherwise reminds me of canning/pickling experiments. The hops are somewhat suppressed. Yeast and vanilla, pepper, detergent, but very fresh. Pours with a huuuge and fizzy off-white head above a clear golden body with bits of orange and somewhat above-avg carb. Sweet but not sugary taste, almost now bitterness, some hops with alcohol warmth and faint pepper in the finish, though. The middle is dominated more by herbs, floral types like lavender and rose hips, and soft spice. There’s also a lot of fresh-squeezed orange juice and a but of lemon; whether the citrus comes from the hops or direct addition, I cannot say. Oily medium body, soft wheaten character. Definite Belgian yeast. A tough one to judge; it’s clean and refreshing, and I absolutely like all of the components, but the overall effect is nothing but weird and I don’t want another.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle at home. Pours lightly hazy orange with a huge, frothy and pillowy off-white head, long retention with excellent lacing. Aroma is passion fruit, mango and lemon zest tropical hops, light grapefruit notes, pale biscuit and cracker malt with pepper notes and earthy, woody yeast characteristics. Flavor is moderate tropical hops of mango and passion fruit, medium-high bitterness that plays well with the spices and accentuates the dryness, light crisp malt, earthy yeast and a dry finish. Medium-light body and moderate carbonation.
