3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Light golden orange color. Thin white head. Aroma faintly says apricot and. Orange. Flavor is juicy fruit including peach, orange, apricot, lemon. The yeast flavor is quite strange. This doesn’t make any sense, but it tastes like an absence of flavor. It has this cloudy hollowness to it, like fog obscuring your taste buds. Very weird. I love the hop flavors, although there could be more. Just a beer I don’t know what to make of. Pleasant but not fantastic.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber from Capone’s. Pours hazy dark straw coppery with fizzy off-white head. Nose is yeasty funk, hopcitrus, Tastes saisony, with an upfront funky yeasty, white peppery flavor, mid-palate hopcitrus, and a dry, spicy, yeasty finish. This one is solid, and an excellent saison/IPA hybrid.

Pint glass draft at Tryst Delray Beach. Cloudy light colored gold with one finger white head. Farmhouse aroma of fruits, hay, slight sour funk, and vanilla. Taste is similar with funk, fruit, slight Brett, and cereal. Spices on the finish. Little peppery heat also on the back end. Medium carb. Liked it!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Translucent golden amber with a tall, foamy white head. Aroma is woody with spice notes, herbal notes, lemon, yeast and fruit. Taste is woody with assertive yeast, toasted malt, spices, citrus notes, herbal hops, light earthiness and floral hops. Soft grassiness too. Body is medium with a moderate, lively carbonation feel. Lingering hop bitterness and a touch of warmth, which was surprising. More wood during the finish with toasted grains, soft malt, spice, floral hops, earthy notes, yeast and herbal hops.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Great big bright white head of fine bubbles with excellent carbonation. Light and flowery aroma with some mint, juniper, lavendar, herbal hops and some yeast. Very interesting aroma the lies I have not experienced before. Color is a clear golden orange. Flavor is very floral like the aroma with pears, more lavendar, soft malts, a bit spicy pepper and honeysuckle. Very floral in many ways. Finish is again floral with a bit of lingering dryness. A very good but different take on the IPA.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pale golden appearance was appreciated, and the head was a bit small for an IPA or a Saison, but was quite durable. The aroma was heavily on the Belgian side of the mix, and was full of hay, horse blanket, and other farmhouse funk. The taste had a nice bubble gum start, followed by a floral flourish, and an earthy finish. Touch of tartness in the aftertaste. Not quite as funky as a true Saison, but close. Unfortunately the IPA side of the equation felt neglected, as hops were far from aggressive. The medium thick feel was just right for an IPA or a Saison, and the alcohol was hidden under complexity. Nice brew, but I just kept wishing for more hops.
