COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The legendary hop-hunter Krunkles turns up yet again, back from a tour of the Orient. His goal this time is to get experimental; his unbounded travels have earned him an honorary doctorate (“Doctor of what?”, you may ask. This would be a question to which only Krunkles knows the answer…) and he’s sequestered himself in the lab perfecting a never-before-seen formula for his beloved IPA. Dr. Krunkles White Farmhouse IPA reaches new heights in complexity and flavor by combining the malt and spices of a Belgian Witbier, the yeast of a Farmhouse Ale, and the hoppy goodness of an American IPA. Dr. Krunkle’s twisted touch is a dash of white peppercorn followed by wood aging on white ash.

Poured from a bottle. Clear golden color, large white frothy head. Slight yeast and malt smell. Nice smooth apricot flavor with a great finish.

650 ml. Golden topaz with a lasting creamy ring of foam. Nose is lightly funky white grape must, juicy orange, fruity soap, spicy caramel and earthy resin. Tastes of lightly soured orange, earthy white wine, grapefruit, soapy citrus zest, resin, a hint of coriander and a finish of light-toasted woody pith. Near-medium body is smoothly carbonated and finishes well to the dry side. What a great experiment that perfectly meshes the best elements of three styles.

Bottle courtesy of Falco242. Aroma includes brett mixed with hops and hints of spice and citrus. Hazy, murky orange with a frothy white head and nice lace. Dry initial mouthfeel with a fully evervescent mouthfeel and a Belgian aspect. Hops are there but this is anything but an American IPA. Points for uniqueness. Unique and enjoyable; could be a little sweeter.

22 oz. bottle. Light straw color, with a huge, pillowy, off-white head. The aroma is lemon zest, heavy wheat, coriander, and some resinous and floral hops. The flavor is big, citrusy sweetness, with a mild bitterness. Light body, a little chalky, very bubbly, and acidic. This is a wonderfully complex beer. Light, very quaffable, and tasty. I wish the bottle were bigger!

Caramel colour, nice head. Complex nose of yeast, floral, fruity, citrus with a hint of spice. Complex taste of apricot, and lemons with an astringent finish.

Slightly sour apricot aroma with a pale golden color. Sour taste with some malty backbone. Hop snap at the end.

Hazy yellow, white head. Interesting mix of citrusy hops, grassy hops, herbal notes from the pepper and just a dash of woodsy flavors. Good body and a good drinking beer.

Murky orange, voluptuous but fragile white head. Smells like tangerine and other citrus aromas, plus some wine and oak. Flavor is citrusy, then yeasty, then odd spicy stuff. I also get some white wine, as well. Very enjoyable.

Bomber from Capone’s. Pours hazy dark straw coppery with fizzy off-white head. Nose is yeasty funk, hopcitrus, Tastes saisony, with an upfront funky yeasty, white peppery flavor, mid-palate hopcitrus, and a dry, spicy, yeasty finish. This one is solid, and an excellent saison/IPA hybrid.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours lightly hazy golden amber color with a 2 finger foamy and rocky white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a large amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of big lemon zest, pear, apple, tangerine, pineapple, orange peel, coriander, clove, peppercorn, wheat, straw, herbal, grass, light oak, light bubblegum, and yeast funk/earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of hop, spice, and yeast ester notes; with good strength. Taste of lemon zest, tangerine, pineapple, orange peel, pear, apple, wheat, coriander, clove, peppercorn, straw, herbal, grass, light oak, light bubblegum, and yeast funk/earthiness. Light wheat tartness and yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon zest, tangerine, pineapple, pear, apple, coriander, clove, wheat, peppercorn, straw, herbal, grass, light oak, light bubblegum, and yeast funk/earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity and balance of hop, spice, and yeast ester flavors; with a crisp malt/yeast balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and moderately prickly mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice white IPA. All around good balance and complexity of hop, spice, and yeast ester flavors; and very smooth and crisp to sip on. A very enjoyable offering.
