4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft at Redlight Redlight, Orlando. Likely my favorite IPA that Terrapin has done and maybe the best I’ve had from the southeast region. Super wet and juicy hop aroma. Fresh fruit, citrus and fruit juice sugar flavors. Not too sweet, but fresh as can be. Very nice. Juicy is the best way to describe it. I love it.

1.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
UPDATED: APR 9, 2014 Unpleasant lingering bitterness, bland malt flavor, moderately grassy hop aromas, boozy, and flavors that elicit thoughts of lawnmowers. Ummmm. Didn’t care for this at all...
After a nearly 3.5 year break I’ve given this beer another shot. It still sucks. In fact it sucks worse than I remember. It’s all sweet oranges, malty as hell but boozy and astringent. This is kinda disgusting.

Bottle shared by alexdsdad06. Poured cloudy copper color with an average frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Medium to heavy complex hop aroma. Medium to full body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy smooth bittesweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a standout beer.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle… Cloudy peach-colored ale with a small, creamy, white head. Good retention. I’m pulling tropical fruits from the aroma – pineapple stands out. Maybe a little resin and a hint of fuzzy fruit –apricot or peach. Full-bodied with gentle carbonation. The flavor leans sweet and sugary, but there’s enough tropical fruit-like hop bitterness and essence to nearly balance things out. Finishes fruity, grassy, abrasive and dry. A touch boozy.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a hazed muddy orange straw into the glass, with a lightly retentive suds ring that leaves light soapy lace. The nose is floral with huge pine notes. A very heady hop leads a grapefruit and rind/peel essence along with a decent malt balance. The hop carries forth through the finish with lots of pine bitters, lingering decently without being heavy or overburdening. A nice grapefruit essence hangs over, just at the end of the pull. This is extremely quaffable, with an impeccable balance, and the ABV integration is held superbly in check. The mouthfeel is substantial, complex and round, with an almost perfect palate integration. One of the best IIPA’s I’ve experienced, let’s hope this "side project" becomes a "main one". Flat out great.... really.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bomber shared by Steve-O, pours semi-hazy golden orange with a small white head when cold, second half pours with a two finger white head that leaves a few spots of lacing and holds a small cap and ring. Aroma is of fruit and citrus, tangerine, peaches, lemon, grapefruit, with some pine & floral, a bit of spice and yeast. The taste is excellent as well with the hops dominating from the outset with pineapples and oranges. There is a hefty malt base but it gives way to a bitter resinous pine finish. Really nice flavour. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with good carbonation and prickly with hop juice. A drinkable double IPA, and dangerously smooth.
