Vol 18. 22oz bottle, foil wrapped. Pours black. Smells of cocoa powder, hints of chopped peanuts. Tastes sweet, dark cocoa, loads of chocolate. Finished with the slightest hints of peanut butter. Flavor is just right. The notes are there! Body was a lot thinner than expected. Almost a watery texture. The flavors made up for light body. (3822)

Bomber from mixmasterob. Pours very dark brown with a foamy tan head. Aroma of chocolate peanuts. Like a bag of them. Med body. It’s very chocolate, very dark malt, and peanut. Chocolate is dark and dominant. But peanuts tend to stay past the finish. Quite an unusual and excellent ale.

22 oz. bottle sample. Pours dark brown in color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have sweetened peanut butter, chocolate, light roast and a hint of earth. The carbonation was low, but it could have been opened for a bit before I tasted it.

Tried this beer the other night. Had a nice silkyness to it. Very dark color and good strong chocolate presence.

Poured from 22 oz. bottle. Opaque, densely dark brown with a small tan head that disappears completely and onlyfair lacing. Aroma of chocolate, peanut butter, roasted malt, brown bread and lactose. Taste of chocolate, roasted malt, dark bread and peanuts with a slight copper metallic taste at the finish. Medium/light body and medium/low carbonization. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a medium black with a head that won’t stick. No lacing. Aroma of peanut skin and/or roasted malts. Taste is quite dry with no hops. Flavors are of black chocolate and a bit of coffee. Gimmicky but not offensive.

22 oz. bottle from loved ones over the holidays. With gifts like this, the love keeps pouring. I'm not much of a porter guy, but this one hit the spot. Not too sweet, malty or boozy; very well balanced, but very tasty in an intriguing way. Pours black with a little tan head. All the flavors-chocolate, peanuts and other sweetness are subtle enough to make this a very drinkable brew. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPad

Pretty good porter. Malty with subdued peanut and chocolate flavors. The name and description make it sound like an explosion of sweet flavors which I didn’t find it to be. Not bad tho

Brownish-black pour with a medium tan head that dissipates slowly. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of chocolate, malt and peanut butter. Medium-bodied with flavors of milk chocolate, peanut butter and roast malt. The finish is peanut butter cup and malt. Comparable to Willoughby’s, tasty and enjoyable.
