2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle from Homer321, thanks again man! Dark brown pour with a tan head. Aroma is big roasted peanuts and chocolate. Almost like a reese’s cup. Flavor is super thin and compared to the aroma weak. Not bad but it smells much better than it tastes.

Dark brown pour. Nice peanut butter smells with malty chocolates. Taste not as nice as the nose but pleasant. Nice balance of hops and malts. Sweet finish.

Bottle at home courtesy of bmoosey, cheers Bruce
opaque Dark brown with grey-beige head. Smells of Ben and Jerry’s pb+j core ice cream. Starts of sweet, fairly high carbonation, dry, roasty barley, fairly thin, nutty notes. Caramalt vegetal notes. Good attempt but not quite.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz bottle. BB 12/26/14. 6.1%. (World Market) Chattanooga, TN.
Pitch black colour with a tiny light tan head.
Roasted malt, chocolate, peanut butter, sweetness and Mars bar in the aroma. It’s exactly what it claims to be.
The flavour is roasted malt, a ton of dark chocolate, sweetness and some mild hops. Great brew. I’m not a huge fan of peanut butter but here it works nicely.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Damn! Great porter. On par with my only other loved peanut butter/chocolate porter (DuClaw Sweet Baby Jesus). Nice big strong aroma of Resses’ Peanut butter cups. Sweet milk chocolate is overpowering but the peanut butter is there. Pour was a nice deep dark brown with a thin tan film for a head. Taste was thick chewy and delicious. Sweet milk chocolate with a strong peanut butter backbone. Taste like the chocolate peanut butter ice cream I loved growing up as a kid. Good carbonation. Awesome beer. Very full flavored for the ABV listed

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle at the Great British Beer Festival 2014, Day 1 - London. Pours rich brown with a creamy head. Dry and nutty, a little artificial-tasting, with a bit of dry chocolate and roasted malts. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Moderately sweet on the finish with chalky cocoa and slight peanut impressions. So so.

Almost opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is light and dry and crisp. Dry roasted peanuts, little cocoa chocolate powder. Trace of dark fruits. Light dry finish. A bit obvious and ham fisted if perfectly acceptable.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
(12oz bottle) dark brown, soapy and fine tan bubbles. Nose of peanuts, peanut butter, dark bakers chocolate. Taste of creamy peanut butter, watery chocolate, peanuts, cream. The body of the beer is one of its best characteristics. Odd linger is a little bitter though and detracts from the drinking experience the most.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours black with a finger-width tan head that fades quickly to a rim. Aroma is a very nice baking cocoa malt with a slight nuttiness. Taste hits a bit sweet to start and finish with those chocolate flavors, but there is a roasted, smoky malt middle and some lingering sourness. Peanut butter flavor is very mild, but more prevalent in the aftertaste and with warming. A pretty good porter, if a bit thin. Far less of a gimmick than the label might suggest.
