Bottle from Tampa roadtrip. Nice looking, dark, brown pour with a nice brown head that lasts with good lacing. The aroma really is reminiscent of a Reese’s peanut butter cup. The flavor has more bitter baking chocolate and then finished with some roasted peanut dryness and a little espresso. Nice and this gets much better as it warms. I was tepid to it at first but like it as the flavors warmed.

Terrapin Liquid Bliss has a thick, tan head, a very dark brown appearance, with lighter brown showing as the light clips the edges, lots of roiling gray chunks, and almost no lacing left behind. The aroma is of sweet malt, peanut butter, and some chocolate, but the flavor doesn’t really present this so much. In the taste I found an underlying peanut butter and chocolate, but not an overt presence. Mostly, it is dark malt, a sort of unpleasant bitterness, and no real sweetness. Alcohol is not picked up. Mouthfeel is medium to heavy, and Terrapin Liquid Bliss finishes powdery and bitter. It is more like liquid disappointment. Certainly, not bliss. RJT

12oz bottle from The Beer Store Wilson. Thick black pour, zero visibility with mostly lasting frothy khaki head. Excellent lacing. Aroma of Reese’s peanut butter cup and milk chocolate. As it warms the aroma of cooked peanuts comes out. Creamy malt chocolate taste up front with a light milk chocolate finish. Creamy texture left on the palate.

Nice combination of flavors that were very balanced unlike others tried. Soothing finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a burnt umber color with two fingers of khaki foam. Lots of roasted cocoa, peanuts, some earthy complexity. Pretty one dimensional with a smooth chocolate backbone and lots of roasted peanut notes that are tasty but nothing too intriguing.

Pours black with a tan head. Aroma is peanuts (no kidding), heavy malts and molasses. Taste is ultra smooth chocolate slowly transforming into rich malts. Overall you get the faint impression of a peanut butter cup. A very nicely done decadent porter. Cheers!

Like a reeses pieces. This one is dominant of chocolate and peanut butter. Great looking, good aroma, and great tasting. Enjoy another brew from the terrapin beer company.

Bottle: The aroma consists of heavy roasted nuts/peanut butter and some lighter chocolate. It pours a dark brown with no transparency and a small beige head. The flavor starts with a quick dose of dark chocolate. The finish has moderate-heavy roasted nuts with a some roasted coffee. It’s medium bodied with mild carbonation.

Bottle: Thanks, Kevin. Dark brown body, khaki foam that settles quickly to a ring. Sweet, creamy peanut butter aroma. Toasted nuts, light cream, fine cocoa powder, good sweetness, & a hint of brown sugar. Taste is nice, but a little thin. Toasted nuttiness, roast, dark cocoa powder. Not as much creaminess as the nose would lead you to believe. Still a nice beer, but some better peanut butter beers exist.

Nice porter, strong peanut flavour that is well balanced. Some chocolate notes. not overly sweet or bitter, very well balanced. I enjoyed this.
