The most amazing beer ever. Smells like peanut butter cups and has a similar taste. Light and foamy head. Had it on tap

Really just smells like vomit, and has a bit of that flavor, too. I can’t get into these PB beers, but this one takes the cake as just plain gross.

Aroma- Has a unique aroma of cocoa, peanut butter and malts, nice. Appearance- Damn near black in color and has a small tannish head. Taste- A taste of malt with a chocolate backdrop. This is surprisingly good. Palate- A medium bodied beer with a moderate of carbonation. Slightly oily texture. Overall- Definitely one of the better chocolate/peanut butter porters/stouts that I have tried, I have had a couple of other beers similar in style but this is one of the more successful - a nice combination of flavors without a lot of associated sweetness. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this one.

That bocktown monaca is a pretty nice beer tasting place. Lots of good beers there that rotate continuously. Slight smell of peanuts. Stay away from this if you are allergenic. First taste is bubbly dark mild beer with just enough of a hint to know its PB, not jelly. Rather friendly. Not over the top in any way. Finish is mild to medium roasty beer. Good porter and the peanut butter is well balanced. Good job terry.

12oz bottle. Oily black with no head. Aroma is sweet candy-ish chocolate. Sweet, but more dark chocolatey than the aroma. Definitely a dessert beer.

Draught pours into the glass with an opaque mahogany pour, a healthy choco-tan head that leaves wash lace. Huge roasted peanut butter nose. Flavors are of semi-sweet and dark chocolates, peanut butter, roasted malt and finishes with a perfectly-roasted peanut. The body is medium, the mouthfeel creamy, yet active on the palate. Delicious side project Porter here! Yummy. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Peanut butter on the nose with mild roast character. Appearance is a dark brown with a tan head with poor retention. Flavor tastes like a chocolate wafer with peanut butter. Mouthfeel is medium with medium low carbonation. Overall, the beer is decent, but I'd prefer more carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Appearance Black bodied beer with a light khaki head that is short but creamy. There is some traces of lacing, and the head fades to a very thin layer rather quickly.

Aroma: There is a peanut-like aroma...I’d say it’s pretty close to smelling a jar of peanut butter. It smells nice but that’s the only thing I pick up.

Taste: There is a very mellow peanut flavor here but I’m not picking up any chocolate. It’s important to note that the label says "chocolate peanut butter porter." Chocolate is listed first but it doesn’t show up to this party. There is a bit of a woody aftertaste.

Mouthfeel: It has a pretty good mouthfeel. I wouldn’t say it’s a completely full bodied beer but it’s close to full. It is pretty smooth and easy enough to drink.

Overall: It was a decent beer but I wouldn’t call it liquid bliss. If you’re really into peanut butter I think you’d enjoy this beer. It has a good peanut flavor. If you are a chocolate lover I think you would be disappointed. The porter (just the beer) is average at best.

On tap at Kickbacks during RBWG. Pours a very dark brown with medium beige head. Coffee roast and chocolate aroma. Thin mouthfeel with strong coffee roast, chocolate, spice and lingering dry finish.

Bottle. Dark brown pour. Really nice nose that starts with dark chocolate and coffee and then hits a higher level with sweet and creamy peanut butter. Flavor has those dark chocolate notes but, instead of sweet peanut butter, is complemented by earthy peanuts. Starts as a phenomenal peanut butter porter and finishes as an above average peanut porter.

black color; great peanut butter and chocolate aroma; smells like a Reese’s peanut butter cup; chocolate, peanut butter, and roasted malt flavor; bitter chocolate finish
