I had this limited release fresh and on-tap at Terrapin Brewery. I typically only have 2 pints of anything, but this one was different. I had 5 or 6 or 7. I COULD NOT get enough of it.

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle thanks to Honer321. The peanut character is more prominent in the aroma. The roasted malts are chocolaty, there is a sweetness that reminds me of chocolate milk.

Draft at Yard House, in shaker. Slight ring of foam, peanut butter nose. Sweetish edge to the chocolate malt taste, not cloying. Lingering, moderately bitter finish. Not a great porter but a decent beer.

Bottle - Pours dark (some red highlights) with a small, bubbly head. Strong peanut butter aroma with chocolate. Interesting flavors, but more like a porter than sweet. The aromas are sweeter, which is what I would prefer with this type of beer.

16oz pint. Aromas of peanuts, mild chocolate, and marshmallow. Flavors of peanut butter, bitter earth, cocoa powder. Light on the mouthfeel, somewhat watery.

Appearance: pours with a small tan head, the beer is a very black color with light brown hues around the edges Aroma: peanut butter, chocolate, light smoke, Taste: milky chocolate, moderate sweetness on top of minimal bitterness, even a coffee bitterness is suppressed Palate: velvety mouthfeel, soft carbonation, minimal coffee aftertaste Overall: I think this is very well done, it's a pleasantly sweet beer without being too sweet to have a few, the peanut butter is front and center ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This beer is exactly what Terrapin advertises. It's a peanut butter cup in your mouth while drinking a stout. You get yourself into what you're drinking. What I mean is, you buy this beer expecting what you read on the bottle, and it comes out as that. Not a beer you can just sit and just drink a sixer of because of how heavy it is, but definitely one you can put in the fridge and enjoy 1-2 every night.

12 oz bottle via trade. Black appearance with a tan head. Aroma of chocolate, peanuts, dark malts, light coffee. Similar flavor, adding light peanut butter with a mild roasted bitterness and light malty sweetness. Average body. Pairing: Grateful Dead - Terrapin Station (album)

Bouteille.
