12 oz bottle. Pours a deep brown with a two finger khaki head that leaves plenty of lacing. Aroma of roasted chocolate malt and peanut butter. Taste is bittersweet chocolate, roasted chocolate malts, and peanut butter. Long, dry finish of roasted chocolate malts. Heavy, drinks like a stout. Full bodied, creamy texture, low carbonation. Exactly as advertised. Very good desert beer here.

Pours out a moderately dark brownish color with a nice off white head. Aroma is of chocolate, some roasted malts, and fresh roasted peanuts. Taste is prettymuch everything they were going for, chocolate peanut butter. Nice balance of the flavors and some roast notes and a touch of bitterness to still remind you it is in fact a beer....a dessert beer, but a beer. Really nicely done, maybe would have liked to see a little thicker of a body....

Pours an opaque brownish-black from the cask with no real head or lacing to speak of. Aroma of roasted malts, peanut, coffee, and slight dark chocolate. Taste is way more of the peanut and chocolate than the smell. Great stuff, well balanced, interesting, a good dessert beer.

22oz bomber from Spirits Crossroads. Poured a decent looking black thinner density body under a smaller foamy beige head. Aroma is great, really this smells like a peanut butter cup, loads of peanut butter and chocolate, lightly toasted English muffins. The body is far to thin for this beer and needs to be beefed up, average to light carbonation and a watery mouthfeel overall. Flavor starts off all chocolate and peanut butter, followed by toast, green veggies and candy. The flavor and aroma on this one make this the perfect desert beer.

Bomber from McScrooge’s. Peanut butter beer is a pretty strange concept, but the results were really not strange at all. This comes across like a sweet stout, enhanced with milk chocolate. If there is any nuttiness imparted by the use of peanut butter, it blends so well that it doesn’t really stand out. The malts are roasty and the palate is not as heavy as I would like for this kind of flavor. I’m glad it’s not too sweet, but just dessert-like enough to make it a treat.

Sweet chocolate, soil, and beets on the notes, I swear. Black, medium tan head with little retention. Mild tobacco flavor. Chocolate and peanut flavor is deetectable but wouldn’t be if I hadn’t expected it to be there. Strong bittersweet chocolate and cocoa finish. Alcohol not evident, thin body. More chocolatey than billed, but that is a good thing.
