On tap at a Taco Mac. Pours near black with a dark brown head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has a good amount of sweet chocolate with light roasted malts and a hint of bitterness underlying. Flavor begins with roasted malts and dark grains with sweet chocolate growing through the finish and just a hint of peanuts.

32 ounce growler from Greenville, poureda dark black color with a huge kahki head, aroamas of chocolate, light peanut butter, some toabacco, and light earth. Flavors are the same chocolaty earth up front with a dry peanutbutter roastiness in the back. Nice beer overall.

Pretty good stuff. Aroma is light raw peanut, some roast, and plenty of chocolate. Pour is dark brown with a thin khaki head. Taste is better than I thought it would be. A nice balance of roasted peanut butter and smooth chocolate. Just the right amount of sweetness. Great.

Bomber. Nose of deep, strong chocolate and hard, dark roast. The peanut butter is super evident in the glass but not out of the bottle; it’s unmistakable and I’m wondering how they solved a tricky problem in process. Stouty brown-black pour with a creamy, rocky light brown head. Watery light body, smooth and gentle, taste is semi-sweet with pb&c, though they’re backed off and a general smooth porter flavor rules the day. Impressed that this wasn’t a massive failure.

On tap at Proof. Dark pour with medium tan head. Aroma of dark chocolate, coffee and nuts. Tastes are roasty malts, chalky, chocolate, vanilla. I didn’t realize the peanut butter bit until putting in the rating, but I guess it had a nutty vibe - but nothing overwhelming. Good though.

Tallahassee, Fl - on tap at Proof. Dark black pour, thickish khaki colored head. Nice aroma of black potting soil, a hint of peanut butter. Flavor has the same general essence with the peanut butter being on the forefront and a pleasant addition to the usual chocolate porter notes. Chocolate plays along nicely as does the potting soil notes in the back end. Thick, rich mouthfeel. Rather enjoyed this one.

Pleasantly surprised by this. The look and aroma are nothing special, but for a porter brewed with peanut butter, it tastes pretty good. It has a fairly simple porter tastes at first but finishes with just enough peanut butter to give it a unique and satisfying taste.

Deep dark brown coloured body with a glowing violet tint at the bottom and a one centimetre tall, very fast dying tan head. Aroma of peanuts, earth, dirt, grass, alcohol, roasted malt, peat and more peanuts. Full-bodied; Very rich flavour at first with roasted malt, earth, toffee, caramel, peat and of course the peanuts and pecans really come through. Aftertaste shows a lot of body still with some oatmeal, raisins, earth, nuts and even a hint of hops come in at the end. Overall, a beer true to the style - a ton of roasty flavours, but even more peanut flavours going on - great if its what you are looking for, but good even if it’s not. A well executed beer and well worth sampling if you can find it! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 12-December-2012 for US$7.99 sampled at home in Washington on 04-April-2013.

Bottle from JCB. Thanks! Deep brown pour with tan head. Nice sweet peanut butter in the nose with some semi-sweet chocolate/cacao nibs and roasted malt with faint fruity esters. Flavor is lightly acidic roasted malt, semi-sweet dark chocolate, faint cola, and black olive. Peanut butter just sneaks in at the end. Lighter body and void of cloying sweetness. Very drinkable. Could have used a little more of the peanut butter flavor. A good concept beer that is well executed.
