From a bottle poured a dark brown color with a small amount of head. Sweet malty flavor with a lingering aftertaste.

Black pour orange tint ... Thin off white head ... Aroma of peanut butter and roasted malts with a light chocolate ... Mouthfeel is thin and porter like ... Taste is of roasted and chocolate malts .... Peanut butter gets lost sadly in the taste and its just a plain but tasty porter ... Kudos for the awesome aroma

Bomber from Sam’s, Durham. Is Peanut Butter the new coffee? The new mint or anise? Doubtful, but I enjoyed this one a fair bit. Substantial base porter came across well, with loads of chocolate in the nose and only understated nuttiness. This is a formula, echoed in the flavors, that works to the beer’s benefit since any more PB might have spoiled the balance (and indeed, what works for me appears to be already too much for others). Sweet, rich, and a vague saltiness in the finish that mostly appealed. I dug it but it may be one of those make or break beers.

22 oz. bottle sample. Pours dark brown in color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have sweetened peanut butter, chocolate, light roast and a hint of earth. The carbonation was low, but it could have been opened for a bit before I tasted it.

bomber. pours a thin dark brown with a small tan head. at first I did not detect any peanut butter in the aroma, but as the beer warms it starts to come forward a bit... but never dominates the flavor or aroma. there are chocolate notes across the nose with light peanut butter. thin body - somewhat watery with chocolate, light peanut butter and some toasted notes. a touch of astringency on the finish with more chocolate and some roast.

Growler. Pours a dark brown with ruby edges and smallish tan head that recedes to nothing. Smell is nice once warmed to room temp. Roasted nuts, peanuts are prevelant, cocoa nibs. The pour also reveals a thin body and the finish confirms. Taste is dominated by the peanut butter but certainly not overwhelming. Chocolate the comes thru and the flavored integrate nicely. The flavor is there but the finish is a bit of a let down. Note this must be drank closer to room temp for the flavor to pop. Still mediocre due to thinness.

Served on draft at Beer Run. Pours pitch black with a thin frothy off-white head. Good head retention. Aroma of big peanut butter notes and sweet chocolate. The taste is peanut butter, chocolate and a very faint fruitiness. Medium bodied.

Pours dark brown/black with a thick mocha head. Aroma has big roastiness with dark fruit and burnt molasses. Flavor has bold roastiness and some mild nuttiness...hints of cocoa and burnt molasses. Mouthfeel is medium/full and the finish is roasty with a nutty afterthought. Not really a peanut butter note to speak of.

This poured a medium to darker brown color with a beige head. Aroma was of light roast, light and dark chcolate, marshmellows, and lgiht peanuts. Flavor was sweeter and the marshmellows really came through more than the nuts, with lots of chocolate there too. Reminded me more of a mallo cup than a peanutbutter cup.
