I haven’t been drinking too much lately, but I have been looking forward to trying this one for a while now. Decided to go ahead and pick up a sixer while I was out grocery shopping today. Pours a dark cola brown with a thin off-white head that fizzes away rather quickly. There is no denying the presence of peanut butter in the aroma. It’s like sticking your nose in a jar of jiff. There is a layer of milk chocolate present in there as well. It kind of smells like Reese’s Peanut butter cereal. I love peanut butter though so there is nothing wrong with that. Flavor is a bit more complex than the aroma. The peanut butter and chocolate are still present but are balanced by some nice black coffee like bitterness, and a nice toasted malt presence. It’s quite delicious. I would actually be okay with a bit more peanut butter flavor. The palate is a bit prickly but goes down smooth. Nicely carbonated for a porter. Overall a very enjoyable beer. Glad to see this one sitting on the shelf in six packs now.

Bottle. Super dark cola. The aroma is intense chocolate and peanut butter with a faint smoke/roasted note in the background. Both the taste and mouthfeel start out thin and light, but instantly the peanut butter kicks in leading to a big, rich finish. The chocolate provides a sweetness balance on the finish too. Excellent desert beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured from a bottle. Color is dark brown to almost black with an unmistakable aroma of peanuts and chocolate. Taste follows the aroma. Light bodied which makes this very easy to drink.

Very unique beer penut butter and chocolate aroma Smells like a Reece and taste starts there. Kinda thin on the tongue. If was thicker in tongue would be amazing. In time flavor is chalk and chocolate. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle to glass. Pours a murky brown color with a thin tan head. Aroma is toasted malts, nutty, light chocolate, and a hint of peanut butter. Flavor loses the peanut butter, but still has some nice nutty, sweet toasted malt character. Medium in body and relatively smooth. Slight peanut butter in the finish. Overall pretty solid. Way better than Sweet Baby Jesus!

Pretty good. Pours murky dark brown. Peanut and chocolate ara. Some roasted nuts too. Nice smooth body peanut butter and chocolate and hazelnut. Not a ton of peanut butter though. Smooth. Nice.

12oz bottle in a tulip. Pours near black with a beige head and a lot of sediment, presumably peanut matter? Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, peanut butter, some light dough and caramel notes, and hints of floral hops. Flavor the same with a nice blend of the porter and chocolate and peanut butter. Average to smoother texture. This chocolate peanut butter porter style is something I am currently digging.

Pours from the bottle with a near black color that glows with a chestnut brown halo around the edges, but there is only a minimal head formed. The aroma is like an Easter basket, with recognizable notes of chocolate and peanuts that are gimmicky but enjoyable. The chocolate and peanut butter come through clearly in the flavor as well, but not in an artificial way. Rather, the nutty, sweet, and cocoa characteristics are similar to those found in other porters, but they are just amplified in this beer. The mouthfeel is thankfully lighter than expected, as this would have been hard to take down if it was thick and syrupy. Overall, I don’t know that I could drink much of this, but the novelty of it is fun.
