3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Served in a snifter. Pours an opaque dark brown-near black with practically no head. Some lacing but minimal retention. Aroma is distinctly of peanuts, with milk chocolate and just a hint of alcohol in the background. Overall, the beer smells sweet, but peanuts, not peanut butter, drive the aroma. Taste more or less carries through the aroma, albeit more restrained. Slightly sweet due to roasted chocolate malts, followed by peanut. In sum, a beer that delivers peanut and chocolate in the aroma and taste but fails to deliver the Reese’s peanut butter cup experience. Essentially, one is left with an excellent porter that integrates peanuts--again, not peanut butter--very well and adds to the depth of the beer. Worth a try.

A light brown portal infused with peanut buttery goodness, Liquid Bliss is suprisingly sessionable. Peanut butter is forefront in the aroma but less so in the flavor, which is a nice mellow mix of powdered cocoa and peanut butter. Pours a dark brown with a small ring of brown head in the glass. It is rather light bodied, and though highly enjoyable I found myself wanting a little more girth in the mouthfeel. Nicely done.

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle. Aroma is cocoa, peanut butter and malts. Appearance is black in color and tannish head. Taste is of malt with a chocolate. Palate is medium bodied beer with a moderate of carbonation. Overall one of the better chocolate/peanut butter stouts. I'm sure many won't like it because it's like a candy bar.

Draught @ The Shannon Rose. Pours inky dark brown with small beige foamy head, chocolate peanut aroma, low carbonation, peanut buttter chocolate taste, slightly sweet long finish, chocolare aftertaste. Great beer though a bit too chocolatey.

Bottle. Peanut butter, toffee, and chocolate aroma - like a Butterfinger. Dark brown with minimal head. Lightly sweet peanut butter toffee and chocolate malt flavor. Good body. Very tasty.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
This is decent porter, but the peanut bitter is just too overpowering. Really masks the roasted malts. Smells like peanut butter. Pours thick and black like motor oil

Tap @ Pour. I liked a couple of other pb/choc ones better. Brown with thin head. Smells like dark fruits plus nuts. Taste is roasty and bitter. Not as chocolatey or nutty as promised, but not bad.
