3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Served in a snifter. Pours an opaque dark brown-near black with practically no head. Some lacing but minimal retention. Aroma is distinctly of peanuts, with milk chocolate and just a hint of alcohol in the background. Overall, the beer smells sweet, but peanuts, not peanut butter, drive the aroma. Taste more or less carries through the aroma, albeit more restrained. Slightly sweet due to roasted chocolate malts, followed by peanut. In sum, a beer that delivers peanut and chocolate in the aroma and taste but fails to deliver the Reese’s peanut butter cup experience. Essentially, one is left with an excellent porter that integrates peanuts--again, not peanut butter--very well and adds to the depth of the beer. Worth a try.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Dark brown almost opaque with a tan head that dissipates quickly.
Aroma of fresh peanuts and peanut shells.
The flavor follows the aroma. Tastes more like peanuts than peanut butter.
OK if you like peanuts. The peanuts cover up the porter pretty well.

2.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Looks good and doesn’t smell too bad. Body is kind of thin. Taste is real sweet on the front end and then fades to bitter. I like the latter part of the taste better. The initial taste is a bit weird to me. Not my favorite porter.

3.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle - Pours dark brown, tan head. Aroma, unmistakable peanut butter cup. Flavor was a bit deflating after such a GREAT smell. Chocolate PB cup, but with some dry roasted peanuts. Dry finish, but some hops in the finish, too.

2.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Not good. Thin and poorly flavored. It does have good aroma thru the tasting. Palate is a little weird in that it lingers but it's not pleasant.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours adeep dark brown with a medium head of tan foam. Nice chocolate smell. Fairly thin body with some chocolate flavor. Not really that good. I couldn’t taste any peanut butter. Still better than DuClaws Sweet Baby Jesus.

Flaska bishops Örebro. Mörkbrun vätska. Doft av jordnötter, choklad, vanilj och lite kaffe. Exakt samma i smak. Tunn men ändå smakrik. Väl kolsyrad.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Opaque deep brown/black. Fizzy, off-white head, rapidly diminishing. Aroma of chocolate, peanut butter, plastic, roasted malts. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Chocolate and peanut butter may make a great combination, but not bitter chocolate, bitter roasted malts and peanut butter. Gimmicky.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Location: 12 oz bottle purchased at Verdi Mart New Orleans
Appearance: Medium brown with decent tan bubbles.
Nose: Medium roasted malt, hints of roasted peanut and milk chocolate.
Taste: drier than anticipated. Aspects of chocolate and roasted nuts but also a quite offputting metallic finish.
Body: Medium and silky
Parting thoughts: The metallic note became less noticeable through the bottle, though I could have become accustomed to it.
