3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Served in a snifter. Pours an opaque dark brown-near black with practically no head. Some lacing but minimal retention. Aroma is distinctly of peanuts, with milk chocolate and just a hint of alcohol in the background. Overall, the beer smells sweet, but peanuts, not peanut butter, drive the aroma. Taste more or less carries through the aroma, albeit more restrained. Slightly sweet due to roasted chocolate malts, followed by peanut. In sum, a beer that delivers peanut and chocolate in the aroma and taste but fails to deliver the Reese’s peanut butter cup experience. Essentially, one is left with an excellent porter that integrates peanuts--again, not peanut butter--very well and adds to the depth of the beer. Worth a try.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours an opaque dark mahogany with a thin off white head that leaves a little lacing in the glass. Aroma is strong on peanuts and very little chocolate. Taste however is a nice blending of the two. Dark chocolate at first and then the peanut butter bitterness on the backend. This is a really tasty beer.

Sampled at esbls. This is like drinking chocolate peanut butter. Chocolate covered peanuts with peanut butter is closer. So tasty.

From the 12 oz bottle. Pours blackish brown with a off white head. Huge peanut aroma with hints of chocolate. Chocolate is bigger in the taste with peanuts taking a complimentary role. Very good.

Flavour is big chocolate, candy bars, light notes of peanut butter, roasted malt and faint caramel. Body is medium with a strong, dense bubbly carbonation. Finishes with more roasted malt, dark chocolate, candy bars and soft peanut butter.

3.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cola colored beer with a thin, white head. Strong aromas of chocolate bars dipped in peanut butter. Tastes of dark chocolate, some watery coffee, and peanuts. Bittersweet, semi-smoky, finish. Oily mouth feel with low carbonation. Tastes like a chocolate/peanut protein bar. I was expecting more, but this is still quite good.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 bottle with a BB date of Jan. 2015 notched on the label.
Pours thick, opaque and near black. Weak head.
Looks rich, and the aroma confimrs this, with the most nutty aroma I’ve ever run acoss in a liquid. Hints of chocolate and dark roasted malts too, which are much more apparent in the remarkable flavor. Still, more nutty than malty and more malty than chocolate. Excellent swee/bitter balance.
O: "flavors never before so eloquently combined in a liquid or solid form."? ... maybe. Superb.
