Volume 5: This new age beer style is a fusion of two great brewing traditions that are worlds apart - a hoppy American Double IPA and a classic Belgian Tripel. Beware the Gnome in the funny green hat!

Slightly hazy gold - amber beer. Crispy palate but with moderate carbonation. Hops are moderate with bitterish marmalade and a little pineapple. Clunking alongside is Belgian Tripel like sweet and sour floral malt replete with a dash of banana. The two aspects of this beer struggle to join up. Drinkable but needs refinement.

Blind tasting at Papsø’s
Hazy golden color. Nice hoppy aroma, both with fruits and elderflowers, very nice. Quite common toffee flavor, dryish; strong bitterness, with some bitter oranges. Actually I like the aggressively warm alcohol final.
