3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle---candy orange color with a small head and no real lacing. Aroma is fruity, mostly mandarin, of course, I just had a mandarin so I could be influenced there. Toss in some soapy aroma as the drink warms. Sticky sweet flavor of light hops with some yeast. Catching a warm alcohol finish. Appalachian Vinter.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Combination of two of my favorite styles and a very interesting take it is. A one finger head and a light amber color are followed by a smooth and hoppy finish. More to come.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Clear darkish golden with a thin laceful white head. Nose is sweet and quasi earthy with a semi-fruity/semi-bubblegumy Belgo yeast tone. Taste is sweet with some earthy pale toffee notes, tangerine-esque yeast esters, dough, and a soft sweet pale ending. Not shabby, but forgettable.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Labelled as Monks Revenge.
Aroma us apricot, orange, yeast, mold. Look is cloudy yellow-orange. Small head, but creamy looking....lasting. a touch of vinegar. Some Wang, but the sweet fruitiness and creamyness keep it pleasant. Medium carbonation.
A nice Belgian.

Monks revenge is a great combo beer. Combining Belgian and IPA good appearance and aroma with layers of flavor.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Lazy Dog. Pours hazy amber with slight off white head. Aroma of slight hops and yeast/bread. Taste of initial bitterness that quickly gives way to yeast. Different/interesting.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
12oz bottle served in a snifter. Good double IPA, not as interesting as other Terrapin beers, but still good.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a beautiful copper orange color. Aroma is citrus pine, pineapple, pepper, Belgian yeast, some malty sweetness. Taste falls short. Malt notes fight with the Belgian notes which for with the hop bitterness. Notes from the nose are there on all fronts, but too disjointed to truly enjoy. Well crafted though, alcohol stays hidden/blends in.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured from a bottle into my Monday Night Brewing snifter. Really nice looking beer - dark amber with a pillowy off-white head - it disipates to a thin cap and leaves minimal spotchy lacing. Aroma is malt, belgian yeast, grass, dried fruit and spice. Taste starts sweet and a little bitey and then a peppery/clove spice takes over and lingers on the palate. Dried fruit, malt, pine dominate the flavors. Overall, its a decent beer - to me it seemed like I was tasting two separate beers, this one didn’t blend seemlessly for me.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours amber-orange with a small white head. Aroma is fruity Belgian yeast. Taste is mild fruit up front (almost grape like) going to a typical Belgian yeast mid palate and a long bitter finish. Definitely different and definitely blasphemous.
