cbkschubert (1721), Rattlesnake Country, Arizona, USA Dec 31, 2008 22 oz. bottle - Pours an almost clear amber color with a medium size light tan head. Aroma has a light smokiness to it. Flavor is smoke and toasted malt. A smooth, medium body beer. I like this one because the smoke doesn’t overwhelm the beer. Nice. tjthresh (1422), Greenfield, Indiana, USA Dec 29, 2008 Pours a pretty mahogony brown with just bit of dirty white head. Smoke aroma is very mild. If you do not know its there, you may miss it. Flavor is mild as well. Nice woody bacon, maple flavor. I like that quite a bit. Medium bady and very easy to drink. I could use more smoke. Beerman6686 (874), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 26, 2008 This poured a darker brown color with an off white head. Aroma was a bit smokey and mainly roasted. Flavor was more smoke than the aroma but not overwhelming and mixed well with its malty backbone. Rye was almost nonexistant riversideAK (1948), Shoreline, Washington, USA Dec 19, 2008 Malty aroma, caramel sweetness mixed with nice smoke. Amber pour with a thin head. Toasty malts with some salty smoke. Lingering smokey flavors. andyhite (283), Murfreesboro, Tennessee, USA Dec 9, 2008 the bomber yields a ripe mahogany pour with minimal head. The aromas, while rich in bacon and pit bbq, come across a little thin, with accents of salt and bacon fat. the flavors follow through, but add that smoke flavor from the malts. and the palate, while think for my personal liking, also is accented by carbonated black fruit. It’s a good beer, but not my fav of smokies.
