Bomber from Proof. Gold pour with thin white head and spotty lacing. Interesting aroma - herbal, bready, tea, honey, bubblegum, floral. Taste is green tea, floral hop, ginger, soapy, and apricot. Strange one. Not really what I go for in an ipa but A for effort.

Ends with more herbal hops, earthy hops, flowers, sweet malt, tropical fruit, light pine, tea leaves and perfumey hops.

Location: 22 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 8/29/12
Aroma: The nose is herbal candies/smarties, ginger, other spice, and some more candied sugar
Appearance: Pours a clear golden-orange color with an off-white head and mid-heavy, spotty lace
Flavor: Tastes fairly heavy sweet, with candied sugar, tea, a good amount of spice, and some hop notes
Palate: The body is medium (leaning light), with a clean feel, a soft carbonation, and a sticky, sugary finish
Overall Impression:
Well, for one thing, this is certainly not an IPA, let’s just clear that up right off the bat. As for what it is, it is unusual and too sweet, but it isn’t bad. This one is certainly interesting. I can’t recall, off the top of my head at least, ever tasting a beer that reminded me of eating a pack of smarties close to this much, so I’ve got to give them credit for being original. I think the overall score would be higher if it wasn’t listed as an IPA.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Butters (3356) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - AUG 29, 2012
I found this one more interesting than enjoyable. I guess the green tea/ginger/rice gives it that ’unique’ flare. But overall, I found it to just be a bland pale ale. The hops were muted, but the sorachi ace did poke through. The other krunkles was much better imho.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 gerbewa (114) - - AUG 29, 2012
Very different ipa. Had it on tap at roosters beak in augusta ga. Not as bitter a most IPA and some floral under tones.
4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 ellolovey (288) - Georgia, USA - AUG 24, 2012
Pours a clear golden with a frothy, white swiftly dissipating head. Has some white lacing. Aroma of juicy fruit and green tea. Very earthy hops. Smells amazingly sweet. The earthy hops overrule the sweet aromas. Medium body with a sticky texture.Taste lingers on the roof of the mouth. Soft carbonation. Green Tea compliments the hops in a lovely fasion. Finish is a lasting bitterness. Very refreshing and easy to drink. Like drinking sunshine.....
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20 dmac (3219) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - AUG 23, 2012
22 oz bomber from Spirits Crossroads. Poured a slightly hazed orange body with a large foamy off white head. Aroma is bland, citrusy orange and wet toast, hint of old tea bags. Flavor isn’t that great, there is a weird perfumey floral middle flavor. Initial flavor is toast crusts and then a finish of harsher citrus rinds. Body is solid with a medium to slightly fuller bodied and strong carbonation with a lingering aftertaste of hop bitterness. This is by far one of the weaker beers in what is a decent series of special beers.

Pours hazy burnt orange color with white head. Aromas of grassy hops, citrus and spices. Biscuit malt and citrus flavors with green tea and some other spices. I was hoping the sorachi hops would be more prominent. Medium body with moderate carbonation.
