At first there was no aroma, but as it went down I could sense a mix of maybe the ginger and hops. The taste was the same, full of a nice light hop with a little hint of ginger, but no strong ginger taste. Not much of any one thing.

The aroma was there but it wasn't all that great. Color is hazy and yellow. Is very hoppy. Bitter finish.

Bottle. Nice clear, golden beer with an average-looking head. The aroma is interesting, with a floral/herbal draw. My first sip isn’t exactly appetizing. The tea-ginger thing isn’t a great selling point for me. It almost comes across as a brewing flaw it’s so different than what you’d expect from "beer" -- grassy, bitter, cloying. It betters as you go, but never did rise to something I’d seek out again. (#4778, 9/13/2012)

Kind of a weak aroma of grain. Definitely taste the sorachi ace hops. Not bad but not my favorite...not sure this should be listed in the IPA category.

Draft at Fermentation. Clear orange pour with a white head that laces. Nose is lemon grass, green tea, lots of herbal notes, and some creamy malt sweetness. Bitterness in the front with some green tea, ginger, earthiness, more herbs and lemons. Very interesting beer that grows on you. Not bad.

this beer is very refreshing with a nice flavor of the green tea. its got a nice carbonated flavor. the malts are not too strong and the hops are clean as well. I think this is a winner.

I’m liking this one. Pours a clear amber with a thin white head. The aroma has an earthy malt essence with a bit of grass and bread. The flavor is crisp and clean with a nice bit of citrus and some lemon. A very nice after taste lingers.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a hazy, dark golden orange color with a half finger white foam head that immediately fades into a thin ring. Minimal lacing left behind.
Slightly herbal, floral hop aroma with some grassy pine, sweet malt and a prominent green tea presence. As it warms up the ginger starts to show but the strong malt presence overpowers the hops. Caramel sweetness with toffee, bread and biscuit.
Medium bodied and a bit more complex than the nose suggests with a balance of earthy hops, peppery spice, herbal tea and sweet malts. Dry and bitter with spicy, grassy hops and a resinous pine flavor that’s nicely complimented by the zesty ginger. There’s also a subtle citrus flavor that nicely rounds out the hop profile before the green tea and malt backbone come through. Some sweet caramel and toffee leading into a slight dry finish. One of the more interesting recent entires in the Side Project Series.
