2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Tasted on 9/16/12 from a capped 650mL bomber bottle purchased at Midtown. Pours clear orange with a thick white head that slowly recedes to average lace, leaving lacy residue along the inside of the glass. The nose is pretty strange with the jasmine rice and plenty of tea coming through with just a touch of ginger and a touch of caramel malt. The flavor is really dominated by the green tea, but there are hints of more traditional malt and hops as well, with just a tinge of ginger peaking through. The body is medium with average carbonation and a long jasmine tea finish.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Reviewed from notes. Rcvd in trade. Super glad I just found the notes on this.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a nice looking slightly bronzed golden orange color with a nice half fingered white foamy head that dissipates within a minute.
There’s some light lacing that ends up sliding into the beer.
The aroma had a nice light ginger leading unto a super light sweet "corn" maybe perhaps rice (but rice isn’t exactly a substance to be smelled). I’ll say its a grainy substance that’s delicate and appealing.
The taste was somewhat sweet and extremely inviting as every sip I had I wanted more somewhat quickly. There was a light sweet tea-like aftertaste and somewhat watery finish (but for the most part an acceptable watery finish).
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a pretty good sessionable quality running over my tongue.
Overall, for the most part, I’d say this was a pretty good IPA with some decent tea-like qualities in it to make it somewhat different. Still good for the style and not bad to me.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bomber. Pours cloudy copper with offwhite head. Aroma is caramel malt and some piney hops. Taste is sweet; not too much green tea coming through. The jasmine and Ginger are interesting. Medium body. Just ok for me.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Copper and orange under a khaki head which fades into a soft layer with lace that tries to crawl up and out of my glass.
Green tea, ginger, and black currants. Ginger bread and ginger cookies. Golden crunchy sugar cookies underneath. Mint jelly and green tea. Cinnamon and cocoa powder on top. Chamomile in the middle. Rustic quality of tree back in in the back.
Minty, herbal, and piney. Green tea and black chair. Pine, spearmint, and mint jelly in the breath. Biggest flavor profile in the middle with more chai, green tea, Andes Mints, and milk chocolate. Lavender, chamomile, and cherry blossoms in the back. Fern and Christmas trees.
Truly unique and I liked it quite a bit. Part Asian and part Holiday spirit, I wouldn’t mind having the Samurai Krunkles again when the weather starts to cool off here in sunny Florida. Not all of the Side Project beers from Terrapin impress, but this one is a winner.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
22oz bottle. Pours a dark golden color with a two finger bright white head with excellent retention. Smells of green tea, ginseng, honey, some spices and herbal hop resin, a touch of ginger fades into the background as well. Tastes of spices hit you at the front. The ginger, faint cinnamon, other herbs and spices mix with the resiny hops, slight green tea presence. Medium body with a fair amount of carbonation.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
22oz bottle in a tulip. Pours hazy copper with a lacy, off-white head. Aroma of citrusy and floral hops, a little ginger and tea, and a good amount of pale and caramel malts. Flavor the same with a nice blend of everything. Average texture. A pretty good beer.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Serving: 22 oz. bottle from State Line Liquors. It pours a deep amber color with a lasting off white head. The nose is an unusual mix of florals, spicy hops, and a light earthiness. The flavor is even more interesting. The green tea gets minimal play in my opinion. The ginger is subdued but there. Lots of florals and a spicy, biting finish. Certainly easy to drink. Different but well done.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A decent beer. Hard to label this as an IPA Aroma was thick but a little weak. Sweet malt and some grains. Pour was a nice clear medium gold with a one finger white head. Taste was good. In reading the ingredients, I’m not sure where this comes from but it tastes like mint chocolate chip. Very minty aftertaste as well. Sweet but not cloying. No hop presence at all. Odd but good. Medium carbonation.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Cloudy dark yellow, bordering on amber, colored pour. A couple bubbles, no head. No lacing. Green tea aroma. That is basically all I really get. Spicy green tea flavor. Not much ginger taste but more of a ginger heat. Unique.
