Draft @ Trappeze Pub, Athens, GA. Pours a black color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma with some hoppy hints. Sweetish fruity malty spicy caramel flavor with hoppy hints. Has a fruity malty caramel finish.

A: The pour is a very dark brown color with a finger or two of tan head.
S: Definitely heavy on the roasted malt with a strong peppery quality. There’s a bit of chocolate and a strong banana note. Some mild toffee, and a rather mild nose overall.
T: Very, very roast heavy. A touch of char, but a decent enough sweetness to it, mostly in the form of toffee, but there is some good banana sweetness and a slight creaminess. A pronounced pepper flavor which gives the beer a slight bite.
M: Medium in body with a creamy and smooth carbonation.
O: A nice try at the new fad of black saisons, but not terribly noteworthy.

Bomber from michael-pollack. Pours pretty black with a fizzy tan head. Nice aroma of roast or rye malt with some spice and fruit. Med+ body with strong carbonation. The first impact is dark fruit, then a bit of earthiness, some fruit/floral hop, and some peppery spice pops up. Pretty good beer.

22oz bottle, thanks BeerandBlues2. Small tan head atop dark brown body. Aroma is moderately sweet, caramel, roast. Taste is moderately sweet, roast, some bittersweet chocolate, caramel, light orange. Light-medium body. Decent, but not really picking up the saison.

Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured a dark brown color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate toasted balanced aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium toasted bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. My expectation where met.

Bottle. Pours black. Tan head. Nose/taste of raisin, rye, dark fruits and alcohol covered dates. Not much of a saison. Taste falls a bit flat. Body weaker than it should be.

Bomber courtesy of Craftbeerdesign (thanks Geoff!) poure a clear dark reddish brown with a large lasting tan head. Aromas of roastiness, fruittiness, yeast, light charcoal and light spice. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of roastiness, fruittiness, yeast , light rootbeer and light spice with a crisp dry lingering spiced finish.

Served on draft at Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a clear dark ruby color with a large tight foamy tan head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of roasted malts, bread, toffee, earthy hops. The taste is roasted malts, caramel, banana, stone fruits, bitter hops. Medium bodied.

Bottle. Pours clear black with an average, frothy cream colored head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (bread, cookie, chocolate, toasted, nutty), light hops (earthy), and light esters (fruity) with notes of coriander. Flavor is heavy malt (cookie, toasted, roasted, meal), light hops (earthy), and light esters (fruity) with notes of charcoal and coriander. Light body, low warmth, medium carbonation and creaminess with a dry finish.
