22 ounce bottle from Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA, on 10/17/10. Pours a slightly hazy copper abmer color with a thin head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of very green hops, vegetal notes, some floral notes and a bit of a chemical note. The taste is bitter, fresh hops with resin and melon notes, with some faint caramel malts and then a bitter finish. Medium bodied. I love wet hopped beers and I generally like Terrapin’s stuff, but this one misses the mark a bit for me.

Bottle… Clear amber ale with a small, creamy, white head. Decent retention. The aroma offers funky, resiny, fruity hops with a nice medium-roast malt underpinning – leather and toffee are also noted. Medium-bodied with moderate carbonation. Nice hop flavor; nice malt flavor – perfectly balanced. I love wet hop beers. So much hop flavor without all the pointless bitterness. Fresh flavor; great aromatics.

22oz bottle. Poured a medium to deeper and clear amber color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of floral hops, some lighter citrus, pine, and just nice fresh wet hoppiness. Tastes of citrus, some lighter caramel, floral, and pine.

22 oz. bottle, courtesy of and split with Glouglouburp (thanks Dany). Pours a mostly clear coppery orange with a huge white foamy head. Aroma is quite dusty and earth, with sweaty clothes, floral and earthy hops, apple cider and dust – doesn’t smell so fresh, really. Flavour is very doughy, fresh dough to be exact, light floral hops and a bit of subtle apple cider. Tastes more like a semi-fresh doughy pale ale – not very hoppy at all, but easy drinking dough bomb. Solid, but flawed.

Bomber from Capone’s. Pours deep coppery with 2-fingers of off-white head. Nose is Maris Otter malt, fresh wet Amarillo hops, citric. Tastes crisp, hoppy, with citrus, earthiness, and a medium palate heft. Finish is Amarillo hops, malt, some citrus notes. Very good.

Bottle thanks to my Secret Santa! Poured a clear gold with an amber hue and a white head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma was quite hoppy with a pine note but also had a strong sweet grain backing. Flavor started with pine but was joined by a relatively strong sweet grains backing.

bouteille.

Bomber pours brilliant clear deep copper with loose short lived tan head. The modest aroma puts out nice spicy hops and earthy hops with both faint malts sweetness and sweetened tangelo in the background. The taste has firm fresh hops surging around with a mix of both spicy and earthy hoppiness that seem to have an organic sense to them. Around the edges of those hops are notes of floral hops, some citrus and sweet maltiness. Smooth crisp full bodied brew.

Bottle: Pours a clear deep copper amber with a spotty-lacing froth of off-white head. Has a light piny resiny and citrus hop nose with a touch of light malty sweetness. Starts with a light malty sweetness and some grassy piny hop flavor with a nice bitter balance before a smooth bittersweet finish. Not quite as fresh at this point, but a pretty well-balanced and drinkable IPA.

Bomber thanks to David. Pours a clear dark caramel color with a medium white head. The aroma is sweet earthy hops, syrupy Amarillo. The flavor is nice; sweet candy and fruity Amarillo hops, dry, light toasted malts. Smooth. Not aggressive but nice.
