Bottle at The Distillery in Savannah. The beer is a clear orange-gold color with a thick and foamy white head that recedes slowly. Rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, malt and hops. Medium-bodied with flavors of citrusy hops, caramel malt and a little spruce. The finish is moderately bitter with a lingering citrus hops aftertaste. Pretty good Citra showcase beer overall.

Hazy dark orange pour with thin white head. Aroma is strong hop, some citrus. Flavor is very fresh hop, light grapefruit & slight coriander. Mouthfeel is soft with zero bitterness. Finishes slightly dry, again with no bitterness. ---Rated via @jxray76 on Twitter

May be getting this a little late in the game but there is still a nice grapefruit citrus nose. The flavor is just not coming through quite as strong. Pours with a nice big white head to add a creamy texture to the overall drink. Medium bodied and fruity flavors. Caramel backbone. Finish is a touch on the spicey side leading into some bitterness. Left with a pleasant and lip smacking sweetness.

Ok so this is the second citra hopped beer of the day and goodness is it bright, light, and in your face floral! This is clean and bright, great palate even though it looks thin. The nose is the beer though, soo good! One of the best! Outkast aproved, ATL style!

Thanks to mixmasterob for this bomber! Pours hazy copper with a creamy/frothy off-white head. Aroma is very citrus. Not quite cat piss, but suggestive. Med body. Carb is almost chewy. Flavor is a nice malt backbone with a lot of citrus, and that moves into rind. Finish is dry, bitter and citrus rind. Not quite grapefruit - but close. Very fresh and tasty.

Amber color with a thick white head. Aroma is fresh pine hops with just a hint of citrus. Flavor is fairly strong piney, slightly oily hops right up front with a strong malt finish. Vague flavors of caramel or toffee if the aftertaste. The body is reminiscent of the Terrapin Rye without the bit of the rye and a much fresher, hoppier flavor. Very solid beer, could be pretty easy to session with as opposed to some of the bigger fresh hops IPAs.

DISCLAIMER: I bought this bottle late 2012 from a PA store with a high turn around but I’m not certain it was a 2012 bottle. Tasted tired to me. Or maybe it is a lame beer, or maybe my bottle was mishandled before I bought it. Or maybe I was sold a 2011 bottle? I didn’t know there were different vintages and did not inspect the bottle for vintage indication..
In short:
How: Bottle 22oz. Consumed a few weeks after purchase (I thought it was relatively fresh, but now I’m not sure anymore).
The look: Medium cloudy golden body topped by a small beige head with good retention.
In long: Nose is weird subdued dank hops pellet, a bit of vegetables, bread dough and light tropical fruits. This is far from a vibrant aromatic IPA, this beer smelled rather muted and tired. Taste is creamy doughy caramelized cereals, a bit of fluffy yeast, wet basement, a bit bloody/meaty character, soft cookies, vegetal notes, leafy hops, distant tropical fruits. Rather low bitterness level for the style. Kind of a strange beer, certainly not what I was expecting from a fresh hop ale. Again, not sure if I got an off bottle or was sold an old bottle. Will buy this again eventually and I may move this rating. Buy beer, drink beer, enter rating on ratebeer, repeat and repeat and repeat over and over again, my life is so repetitive that sometimes I wonder if I really exist of if I’m just a character in the game The Sims (an early demo without all the features implemented).
