3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 nulledge (25) - Florida, USA - NOV 21, 2012Bottle poured into a willie. Nice amber color, with a small white head that fades into a ring. very little lacing. Floral, and citrus hop aroma. Medium body, good balance of sweet malts with and pineapple, and peach hop flavors finishes slightly bitter. Overall a great beer that highlights one of my favorite hops.

Really incredible IPA. The name does not lie. One of the freshest beers I’ve ever tasted. Big, clean dry-hopped flavor.

Bottled. Ah yes, what is it about fresh Citra that just slays me so? Pours amber with a solid head. Fresh dank earth littered with apricots fill the aroma. Yes, a bit sweet for me for an IPA, but so darn drinkable and finishes with both grapefruit and chewing on a fresh pine needle bitterness.

Lightly hazed orange pour with creamy white head and lace. Aroma is citrus/grapefruit and bread. Light citrus flavor with a nice breadiness and a medium smooth citrus bitter. Medium body with good carbonation a nice beer.

Poured from a 750 mL bottle into an IPA glass. Absolutely beautiful aroma of (unsurprisingly) fresh hops. Sweet citrus aromas akin to blood orange, with just a bit of toffee or caramel. A coppery-red color with a foamy white head that sticks around for a while. The flavor is very good, but just a tad muted for a fresh-hop ale. Sweet caramel malts on the front, with some butterscotch. Finishes with a spicy dryness. My biggest gripe with the beer is the mouthfeel. It’s a bit too fizzy and limp in the body to really let all of the subtle hop flavors come through. Overall this is a very tasty IPA, and if you’re a fan of fresh-hopped IPAs this is one well worth trying. If you’re not, this won’t be the one to change your mind.

22 oz. bottle via trade with smith4498 - Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a half finger thick light tan head. Light spotty lacing. Aroma is floral and pine hops, and oranges. The citrus is a little more noticeable in the flavor. Finish is fairly bitter and dry. Medium body. I bet this was really good at release. Thanks Jason.
