The Sunray Wheat is a German style unfiltered wheat beer brewed with a touch of local, Georgia Coast, Tupelo honey from the Savannah Bee Company. It’s inviting banana/sweet clove like aroma gives way to a pleasant, clean finish with a hint of tartness.

I think wheat beers are becoming my favorite style of beer at the moment. I seem to really enjoy each one I try. I thought this beer was delicious, crisp, clean and refreshing. Pours cloudy gold. Minimal head. Aroma of spice, banana, yeast and citrus. Mild yeast and wheat flavors with strong citrus notes and a nice touch of honey on the back end for just the right amount of sweetness.

Has to be the unleaded version of Gamma Ray. Cloudy and clovey. Very light. I hope this comes in sixers this summer.

12oz bottle from the Terrapin Mix pack. Pours a hazy golden yellow. Hypnotizing carbonation bubbles waivering cautiously. White foamy head. Banana aroma has a dominating presence once the bottle is open. Flavor is bready, wheat, sweet, hint of clove. Perfectly creamy body. Rich, full flavored malt character. Finishes with some lemony citrus, notes of raw honey, and the welcoming banana§clove you expect in a well made Wheat Ale. Gamma Rays MiniMe. This one could make a wheat beer fan out of anyone.

"Part of a surprise package sent up from bluesandbarbq, thanks again Louis. 1st Hefeweizen of 2010 and another fantastic example of authenticity by an American brewery. Cloudy yellow gold pour producing a brilliant white head and heavy lacing. Strong aromas of sweet wheat, orange-lemon-banana fruits, spicy clove and bubblegum. Crisp & light, moderately sweet with a surprisingly dry finish. Balanced with a traditional German wheat beer flavors. Banana, crisp wheat, clove and citrus."

Very slightly hazy pale golden pour with a quickly fading white head. Nice aroma of honey and flowers (lavender) and a hint of lemon. Flavor of honey, apple and pear sweetness with a hint of malt (graham cracker). Nice crisp refreshing finish. Light bodied and highly effervescent. No astringency. Outstanding! Another great one from Terrapin ... I could drink a LOT of this.

Bottle in trade as a bonus from 7ways. Thanks! Pours a hazy yellowish orange color with a medium lived white head. Smell is lemony, wheaty and yeasty with bubble gum notes. Taste is richly wheaty with a yeasty flavor to a lesser extent and a definite nice lemony tartness as well. Light spice flavor from the yeast. Rich body and nice lightly crisp carbonation. A very nice wheat ale. Fantastic beer for a hot day.

12oz bottle. Thin orange-yellow color with a respectable, creamy white head. Wheat and candy banana in the aroma. Light to medium bodied, quite refreshing. Perfect minimal hop balance complements the banana yeast tones. Smooth creamy body. An excellent beer.

12 ounce bottle - $4.75 at Taco Mac in Kennesaw, Georgia. Best Before the 1st week in the 8th month. Appearance: Pours a well hazed, hay-hued body with a small, white head despite an enthusiastic, eager pour. Smell: Pleasantly scented union of fresh honey, citrus zest, banana pulp, and spices ground up via a mortar and pestle all wrapped up with a lightly-tangy aroma of malted wheat. Taste: Wheat malt seasoned with spices and accompanied by a fair amount of good, wholesome honey sweetness. Tiny pinch of citrus. Squished ripe bananas. The earthy spices and mild hop bitterness to a decent job at tempering the sweetness. Drying, lengthy finish with hints from all of the various flavors riding out into the aftertaste. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Slight, silky creaminess to the mouthfeel. Drinkability: Easy on the alcohol but plenty flavorful. Loads of summertime appeal here. I enjoyed this one and I’m fairly fussy regarding wheat-based beers.
