COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Sunray Wheat is a German style unfiltered wheat beer brewed with a touch of local, Georgia Coast, Tupelo honey from the Savannah Bee Company. It’s inviting banana/sweet clove like aroma gives way to a pleasant, clean finish with a hint of tartness.

12 oz bottle. Golden, fizzy pour with a strong, spicy citrus wheat aroma. Flavor is light and crisp but a bit thin, surprisingly so compared to the aroma. Too much carbonation and not enough flavor. Has a bit of a sour finish. Mediocre at best.

Crystal clear appearance with negligable head and a strong banana aroma. The flavor is mainly orange with banana. Some spiciness and honey.

Very slightly hazy pale golden pour with a quickly fading white head. Nice aroma of honey and flowers (lavender) and a hint of lemon. Flavor of honey, apple and pear sweetness with a hint of malt (graham cracker). Nice crisp refreshing finish. Light bodied and highly effervescent. No astringency. Outstanding! Another great one from Terrapin ... I could drink a LOT of this.

I am not sure if I got a bad batch, but it sure didn’t taste sweet to me like many reviews state. It had an earthy taset to me...almost grassy. I couldn’t really detect to much on the nose...not much else to say. Not one of my favorites...

Multiple bottles this summer. Typical summer wheat ale - little hops, fruity citrus smells, nothing unique or unusual here. Good enough for a hot summer day!

12oz bottle. Pours a hazy golden color with a medium creamy head, that slowly faded to a ring. Subtle clean and refreshing aroma of light coriander, clove, and bubble gum. Taste of wheat with light spices and a hint of some hops underneath, bready yeast rounds it out with a touch of bubble gum. Nice, creamy texture with ample carbonation.

Pours golden from bottle with just a touch of cloudiness. A hint of bubblegum on the nose. A faint estery note on the tongue. Finishes kind of watery.

Hazy gold with a thin white head; sticky medium-full body with high carbonation.

Aroma: bavarian weizen yeast esters of banana and subtle clove, alcohol, cake-like tupelo honey, pale malt, and a hint of wheat.

Taste: cake-like tupelo honey, pale malt, grainy wheat, bavarian yeast esters, and some alcohol.

I really like how the tupelo comes through with such a cake-like character —it doesn’t have the typical honey twang to it.
