COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our newest year-round selection! With a mild herbal spice hop aroma and a malty flavor profile featuring notes of caramel, toffee, and nuts, this malt-forward beer is a welcome compliment to our current hop-leaning roster.

Poured from a tap. Clear light brown color no head. Not much of an aroma. Light body sweet syrupy watered down hops flavor.

Draft. Brownish color, sweet malty aroma with a little bit of hops. Very mild tasting; easy to drink; somewhat refreshing. Not a bad beer. Kinda liked it.

On tap 5 oz. sample at Judges' Bench in Ellicott City, MD. Clear golden brown with a fine off-white head and excellent lacing. Aroma of caramel, spice, nuts, toffee and toast. Taste of toffee, toast, nuts, spice, earthiness and caramel. Medium/light body and low/medium carbonization. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Rated from notes taken on 6 Sep 2013 -- A decent offering from Terrapin. Not my favorite alt.

Has a nice aged aged taste to it. Comes out with a little bit of a crisp finish. A little of a sweet, sugary malt. Average carbonation. Pours amber with good head and lacing. Tap at Churchkey.

4 ounces on draft at ChurchKey during the SAVOR Surly event, probably left over from the previous night’s event. Thanks solidfunk! Golden brown with off-white head. Aromas of sweet malt, caramel, dark fruit. Tasting notes of sweet malt, caramel. Medium-light body with a dry finish.

Pours a clear red brown with a thin tan head. Smells of caramel, bread. Taste is sweet, moderately bitter - bread, caramel, hint of honey - grassy hops. Vague hint of spices.

Draft. Pours red/brown with no head. Aroma is molasses, cotton candy, grapefruit (very faint). Taste is sweet - malt is center stage here. Some belgian candi type notes here and the molasses kicks in as well. A little too sweet and not enough spice for me.

UPDATED: APR 25, 2014 Aroma is very malty, caramel, nutty, toasty. Pours clear copper brown. Small tan head. Flavor is malt, caramel, toast, roast, nuts, bitter roast, slight spicy hop character. Very nice. Slightly medicinal in the aftertaste. Light, smooth body. I’d recommend it to a pal.

Some interest at first sip, quickly turns thin and uninteresting. Watery palate. Devolves into a very average beer.

Gatlinburg bottle. I’m not terribly familiar with altbiers but this seemed nice enough. Good caramel notes throughout with a little bitterness for balance. Maybe a slight metallic hint though. Fine.
