Bottle from Village Wine and Spirits. Delicate roast malt nose, some sweet tea. Light copper color. Rounded malty initial / light sweet mid / somewhat scratchy hop finish and then balanced. Thin-medium body. Okay. Decent maltiness.

Wow! A delicious session beer! Aroma was nice. Smelled like caramel covered Count Chocula cereal. Pour was was a crystal clear dark red/light brown with an off white ring for a head. Taste was very big for such a low ABV. Strong caramel, malt and toffee flavors that were not too sweet or cloying. A slight hoppiness keeps the malt flavors in check. As it warmed toffee and burnt caramel came out. Slightly nutty. Decent carbonation. Great find!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aroma is quite earthy, nutty, hint of caramel, peach, fruit. Mouthfeel is really watery. Taste is loads of honey and nut flavor, it almost tastes english. Maybe they used English yeast? Overall pretty hoppy, light, and lacking in malt depth. for all those specialty grains in there, they need to use more! Overall, not bad; but nothing to seek out either.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Moderate nutty and cereal for the malt, light herbs for the hops, light dough for the yeast, with faint date, root beer and a hint of solvent. Head is average size, frothy, light tan with fair lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is sparkling clear darker copper. Flavor starts lightly sweet and moderately acidic, then finishes lightly acidic and bitter. Palate is medium, watery with a lively carbonation. Not a bad Altbier, just nothing really descriptive about it.

One of my first Terrapin beers in a while. Pours a garnet color. Quite pretty and opaque. The taste is a duo of mineral and nutty notes which is different from the slightly sweet caramel notes in the aroma. Some toast and malt notes round out the flavor.

This beer is ok. Too malty for my liking but still ok. Reminds me of something I’ve had before. Maybe a fat tire.

A nice average low gravity beer. Not an Altbier in my opion of the word. yazoo does a better job. But this may be an american altbier hop forward. Definitly not bad. Very nice mouthfeel for the abv. nice head that fades. Average probably not on my get again list though.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Hazy amber with a thin off white cap. The nose smells like amber ale malts and a bit of biscuit/toast. Toasty and dry caramel earthiness on the flavor, on a medium-full body. Smooth and pretty balanced, went well with the BBQ I had going on. A bit of a dry, earthy, nutty aftertaste.

Bottle from Total Wine in Orlando, FL. Pours clear copper with a creamy beige head. Slightly malty aroma. It’s essentially light roasty malt with some mild hop. Drinkable but not exciting.
