Bottle, thanks to unclemattie. Poured a Oil Black with dark burnt orange tan head, good retention. Aroma of strong fresh ground coffee. Flavor is GREAT, espresso and signs of chocolate, fresh ground coffee. Mouth feel is heavy, extremely silky, medium carbonation....Overall, Great Stout!!!!!!! This is some GOOD SHIT!!!!!!!

12oz bottle from five point bottle shop in athens. pours jet black with slow to recede medium size tan creamy head. smell of coffee and dark chocolate w/ slight grassy hop notes. taste of coffee, chocolate, roasted malt with only a bit of the oatmeal present. Lightly carbonated and a creamy palate. a fantastic beer. K-9

Poured from a 12-oz bottle a dark black with a dark tan head. No surprise that it had a aroma of coffee along with chocolate and oatmeal. Lots of flavor in this beer with the coffee standing out the most with chocolate, malts and oats in the background. Very drinkable beer.

I’ve had this fresh and on 2 years of age. Both experiences were absolutely fantastic! A thick black and nicely reddish tanned head gives way to an ever so powerful coffee flush amidst thick dark malts and a nice blend of finishing hops. Not the thickest Impy Stout, but still remains heavy enough. Aging is definitely recommended for at least a year.

Dark black color with thin tan head. Aroma of full bodied black coffee with a hint of molasses. Flavor reminds me of a very good cup of coffee, only in beer form - not as complex as other coffee stout offerings. While not a bad stout, it is certainly not the best as may be slightly overrated.

Bottle of the 2007. Black pour. Super strong coffee aroma. Good coffee flavor, but a bit thin.
