12 oz bottle into a tulip glass. Thanks smonice! Pours a pitch black body with two fingers of mocha foam and nice lacing. Aroma is obviously coffee; slightly vegetal/peppery (in a good way) and roasty, with a nice bit of chocolate sweetness. Taste is an excellent roasty coffee with a real oat like bready quality and chocolate sweetness. Finishes dry with a lingering bitterness and vanilla undertone. Creamy and smooth mouth feel. The oats play a really nice role here in the mouth feel and in the taste and the coffee is huge against the chocolate. ABV is well hidden and this is easy drinking. It’s a great coffee stout, but I have to give the edge out to FBS.

So really, what is not to like? It pours thick and black. Taste is everything good- sweet malt, good coffee, chocolate, earth, hops in a meal in a glass. It’s delicious. Perfect winter sit-by-the-fire-sipper.

Poured from a 12oz bottle I got in a trade, thanks Devin. Aroma is huge coffee and chocolate. Flavors are coffee, chocolate, oatmeal, and caramel. Very nice stout, huge flavors. Not thin in the mouth at all, very full flavor throughout the whole stout. Great beer!

Bottle from Hop City, Atlanta. 2013 Vintage. Pours a very dark brown, small amount of tan head. Aroma surprisingly dull, hints of roasted malt. Taste is another story, though. Delightfully complex, coffee, oatmeal, roasted malt swirl together seductively. Finish strong on the coffee bitterness. Top notch.

pours ink black with a thick mocha head, smells of coffee with some sweeter notes in there. At first the taste is a bit sweet (malts + caramel) followed by tons of coffee and oats, then finishes with bitterness of coffee. thick mouthfeel

Pours ink black with thin brown head that quickly dissipates. Aroma of mild coffee and oats - not complex. Taste of coffee and caramel malts. No chocolate, toffee, etc like its competitors. Thick velvety mouthfeel - very nice. Overall decent but not mind blowing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sandestin bottle that says 9.4% ABV. Fairly standard dark brown pour with a nice, foamy brown head that lasts a good while. Aroma is almost like you made a really thick cup of Nescafe with a hint of chocolate. Very full mouthfeel. Lots of coffee in the flavor with a hint of booze. If you like coffee, this beer is for you.

Quite nice! Tried this after tasting three Bourbon County variants, which is unfair, but what I remember tasting is an exquisitely crafted coffee oatmeal stout. Thumbs up.

Terrapin Wake-n-Bake lives up to the hype. Rich chocolate and coffee aroma rising from a dark pour with a tan head. The aroma backs up the same chocolate and coffee taste with a smooth finish. Wake-n-Bake is a real eye opener!

Great beer! Like having breakfast! Great bitterness from the expresso coffee that just balances out the oatmeal! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
