Bottled. Dark golden colour, nice white head, which disappears wuite fast though. Aroma is Sugary and malty. Flavour is Bready flavour with very sweet malty hints. Also caramellish. Tne of the cleaner flavoured for this night... Not a pilsener in my opionion, rather a pale or golden lager. Hayish hoppy aftertaste.

Yellow with decent white head. Sugary nose with malts and wet leaves. Good malty body with slightly harsh aftertaste. Long malty aftertaste. Quite clean and similar to malty Finnish bulk lagers. Drinkable Latvian "bulk beer" (but not a pilsener).

Warning! Early amateur rating! Bottle in Riga. Bog standard lager. Has some body but is otherwise utterly unremarkable.

JoeMcPhee (7621) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 20, 2011
Golden beer with a thin head. The nose is lightly sweet and a little bit fruity. There is a little bit of light estery character. Moderately sweet and simple. Meh - a bit too sweet and not all that good.

FatPhil (7496) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - DEC 30, 2007
UPDATED: MAY 13, 2011 Tap (S. Brevinga Alus/Viski, Riga)
6 Super grainy aroma, just pure mash. Husky bias. So bready.
3 Clear orange, small head.
6+ Massively grainy taste. Some light sweet corn kernels like popped popcorn, but not with any butter or anything, just the kernels.
3+ Pleasant smooth mouthfeel. Pleasant carbonation. Finish so grainy and bready.
12- Totally different from the dead, thin, off beer that we had before. This, if you hand’t guessed, is just so full and grainy.
Rerate of pub-spoiled: Draught (?, Riga) (3:2:3:2:4=1.4)
Rusty metal tins aroma. Big bold and bad taste. Very malty, long bitterness. Just presses all the wrong buttons for me.
