Bottle, Tesco, Oxford. Dark caramel color with a light tan head. Pleasant earthy, minty aroma. Rustic caramel malt sweetness, soft resin hop touch, dry finishing with just a little citrus note. Lively, interesting, a very pleasant surprise.

UPDATED: OCT 8, 2010 August 2008 500ml bottle from Tesco. Slightly reddish tinge. Nice hop flavours - amarillo hops are always very tasty. Malt is clean and pleasant with a gentle toffee sweetness, though is mainly a clean, fresh base for the aromatic hops. This is a lovely beer. If the malts pulled more, this would be splendid. [3.4]
Oct, 2010 Bottle from 2007. Pretty much what I said in 2008 for the fresh bottle applies here, though the hops are little muted and rugged, with some stewed tea flavours coming in. Itís a nice beer without being amazing. [3.1]

Bottle. Golden brown (texture like sun) with thick mostly lasting off white head. Decent amount of hops and fruit with a lick of sweetness. Pleasantly surprised, it was ok this. Although I think it was more expensive than Orval which they sell in the Handforth store. Which is taking the piss.
