COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered.
Ingredients: Pale malt; Roasted barley; Oats; Washington Galena, Worcester Fuggles and Kent Goldings hops.
A superb, rich, full-bodied beer derived from a 1970s homebrewing recipe. Wickedly smooth chocolate dominates the flavour, which is nicely balanced by the bitterness of the hops.

Roasted coffee and chocolate aromas; fair amount of bitterness that merges with the coffee flavors. Very dark brown, almost black. Small light brown head. Taste dominated by coffee bitterness; mild to moderate sweetness present as well. Fairly full bodied; texture is a bit oily with average carbonation; a long bitter sweet finish. Overall a quite good beer; I like the balance between the malt and hops with both quite prominent. Fairly complex.

330 ml bottle from Sobeys Liquor, served in a nonic pint glass. Pours like its namesake, looks the part, too, except that motor oil doesn’t have a head of light mocha that’s bubbly, pearly, maintains like a mofo, and leaves all manner of lace islands. Roasted barley and oats abound on the nose, with espresso, cocoa, nuts, savory soy, buttered cinnamon toast, and hints of black liquorice. Flavor is all kinds of toasty, roasty, and caramelized - bittersweet chocolate, French roast coffee with cream, hazelnuts and peanuts, and oat-and-wheat malted cereal with brown sugar and cinnamon. Rich, chewy body and a lovely aftertaste and gentle warmth with just the right staying power. Pour this into your engine and you’ll purr like a Jaguar all day. A truly delicious old ale that out-stouts stouts. More, please!

Pours black as used engine oil with mocha head that leaves a bit of lacing. Nose delivers the "roasty" malt notes. Mouth follows with the "viscous," a smooth, creamy body. At first, the "chocolatey" took a back seat. There was some slight bitterness, but it was difficult to discern whether that was cocoa or hops. Still, after letting it open up for a few minutes, the next thing I noticed was the empty bottle. It goes down easy, with a touch of caramel. Well balanced.

This beer pours out a beautiful dark black, it has a nice contrasting flavour with the smooth chocolate stout quality balanced with a bitter dark hoppy flavour, an excellent little beer, it looks incredible a real thick black colour with malty brown hints

Very dark brown with a cappuccino head and frothy lacing. Medium creamy body. Roasted malt and dark chocolate on the nose - same plus coffee in the taste. Some caramel sweetness to offset the bitterness, and some red fruit. Nicely balanced, very good beer.

A derinkability é boa apesar do amargor forte e do álcool presente. O aftertaste é seco e segura o sabor de café. Boa para o inverno e para beber enquanto se come carnes. É pouco equilibrada devido ao amargor e café pronunciados.
