UPDATED: JUL 14, 2012 Pint bottle from TESCO Chester-le-Street. £1 on special offer. Served cool in a chalice. Golden, with a white head. Citrussy hops nicely balanced with caramel malt. Not outstanding, a bit generic to be honest, but a value for money bargain, and way better than Sainsbury’s similar effort.

Bottle from a York Tesco Express. Pours a light amber gold. Aroma seems to have a touch of skunk (clear bottle). There’s some fruity aroma too. Well, there is a lot of hop. Enough to give a mild burn. Still think there’s a skunk touch, but if it is, then it’s not interfering too much. Bothers my mind, but that’s a small thing (the bother, not the mind). BB 31 March 14, so it shouldn’t have been around too long? Anyway it is otherwise a very tasty and excellent ale. Rating excludes my skunk concerns.

Bottle. Clear bronze appearance with a hoppy aroma. Not a lot of hops so is it really an ipa? Cant complain at a £1 a bttle though.

Bottle from Tesco in Hexham. A golden beer with a burnt toffee flavour, sulphur notes and a biscuit and bitter-sweet finish. A nice ale but not an IPA.

Mild hopfiger Antrunk mit leichter, angenehm milder Herbe. Helle Getreidenoten, etwas trocken, süffige Würzigkeit. Hier wird gehalten was versprochen wird, ein simples nettes IPA. 11/11/11/11/11/11

golden colour . Reasonably retentive head with good lacing. There is a delicate grapefruit and toast in the aroma, The mouth feel is a tiny bit on the watery side. There are gentle soft malt flavours and a gentle bitterness which leaves a bitter marmalde and pepper aftertaste. this is an easy drinking refreshing beer.. It’s a nice beer at a very nice price. It’s delicately hopped using Cascade,Golding and Fuggles. The cascade is noticeble in the aftertaste .

500ml clear glass bottle from Tesco. This is a very drinkable pale and hoppy beer. The hops are dusty and interesting and gently assertive, and the malt is clean and pleasant. Had in the bath after the North Downs 30k Run. Lovely!

Bottle at home in London. Pours crystal clear gold, lightly effervescent with a fairly strong, white froth head. Nose is rife with that rich aroma of pasteurisation, biscuity bread, slight vegetal notes. Light sweet flavor with some leafy bitterness, dry bread, biscuits, mellow bitterness, touches of wood. Light bodied with average carbonation. Pretty crisp and clean to finish with more dry, leafy bitterness, some lightly toasted, biscuity malts. It’s a little bit watery. There are hints of citrus in the background. Not at all offensive.
