440ml can for £1, BB Nov 2015, 3.6%. Clear dark amber orange, still, massive dense foamy beige head, light lacing. Aroma is musty cupboard, toffee apple, denim. Body is medium, smooth, no carbonation, kinda oily. Taste is light, toffee malts, card, quite watery, background resin, just a touch of hop character. Very drinkable and inoffensive. This one came as a bit of a surprise, as I was expecting not to like it much. But I happily drank the entire tin.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Can (non-nitro) 3.6%
Amber brown, thin shortlived white head and gentle condition. Slight toasted maltiness in the nose, with some caramel sweetness. Soft in the mouth with sweet toffee dominant initially, with a creeping dry bitterness emerging with time, finish has a fine tingle of peppery bitterness and a little more caramel and toffee sweetness lingering.

The name is hilarious enough. It sounds like a laxative. The side of the can says "... pull the tab, listen to the surge." And surge it did. When I pulled the tab, I was treated to an angry growl, probably the most shocking thing that a beer can has ever done to me. I didn’t know whether to pour the beer or back away slowly. When I finally did pour the beer, I found only disappointment. Brown color with a thin head. Flavor of dirty water. Just a terrible beer. How dare the British make fun of American beer, when crap like this is produced in their country?

Overall a very standard canned beer. You really do taste the aluminium if your drinking from the can witch kills most of the flavour

Smooth flow can. Fun gurgling sound when opening. Pours clear dark amber. Head is thick soft with excellent lacing. Aroma of spice and banana bread. Mouthfeel is really thin and watery. Taste is watered down with notes of banana bread and clove-like spices. Disappointed with lack of flavors, yet quite drinkable. The hoppy flavors they’re refering to in their description are not bitter but ONLY adding spice and slight floral. Interesting for a change.

2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Smooth flow can. Pours copper coloured with a very thick, creamy head courtesy of the nitro. Sweet aroma, maybe a hint of banana. Balanced flavour with no extremes of anything. Average, bit perfectly drinkable

nitro can. pretty standard across the board, perhaps a little less. too watered down for my taste - not enough going on to make the nitro pour more than pretty hop flavored water. Earthy. dry, thin.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours copper with a marvelously thick soft head. Aroma of malts, taste is malty, bananna, maybe a bit of citrusy stuff. Not much else really, it is a bit thin, but the experience of opening the can and hearing the noise it makes, pouring it and getting that top lip deep in the head makes it worth it.

Can, 440 ml. Nice, smooth ale. Great taste, gentle, moderate finish. A true UK bitter.
