3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 BeerandBlues2 (5591) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - JAN 26, 2012
Can. Pours clear amber with an average, creamy off-white head, long retention with good lacing. Aroma is light caramel malt, biscuit and straw, light fruity esters and earthy/woody hops. Flavor is malt forward with moderate bitterness and hops, light fruity esters and a dry finish. Light body, low warmth, and medium carbonation.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 12/20 bth122 (458) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 22, 2012
Can, pourded a crystal clear copper hue color with a nice full head. A solid 5 for appearance. Aroma is kind of masked by the nitro head, smell some grains and mild hop aroma in there. Light bitter for taste. Med light body, creamy texture. Smooth finish. Very smooth throughout. A bit lacking on flavor and taste. But still a nice beer.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 rangerred (198) - Johnson City, Tennessee, USA - JAN 3, 2012
Poured out of a nitro can into a nonic.
Once the beer settles the appearance is a clear medium copper with a thick creamy head courtesy of the nitro pour.
Aroma is very creamy with some pale malt. Really no hops in the nose.
The flavor is also quite creamy with some pale malt and vanilla. A slight bitterness appears toward the finish and lingers. All other flavors fade pretty quickly.
Overall this is a decent English beer but not the best that is out there. Pretty run of the mill. Would like to have it on tap sometime.
2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Cunningham (1748) - Halden, NORWAY - NOV 6, 2011
can from an off licence in England - light amber body with a white head - fruity aroma - sweet malty taste
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 reebtogi (1524) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - NOV 1, 2011
500ml can pours a pale amber color with an abundant head that settles quite quickly leaving a few spots of lacing behind. Aroma is caramel with some aromatic hops. Taste is a moderate bitter hoppiness with an underlying malty sweetness. A decent bitter but there are many out there that are much better.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 annunz123 (207) - Taunton, Massachusetts, USA - OCT 17, 2011
From can with "widget." Very mild aroma. Taste is sweet and malty. Really nice, smooth mouthfeel. Nothing fancy, just a good, easy-drinking beer.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 johnnnniee (880) - Bedford, New Hampshire, USA - OCT 2, 2011
From a widget can a large crack and hiss then in one fluid motion I pour into an awaiting glass. Foam filled glass slowly turns brilliant copper with a good two finger white head that has great retention and lace. Faint lack luster aroma is malty, earthy, with a bit of wet dog. Taste is subtle with light fruit and dark sugars. Malty and earthy taste. Medium to thin body, light level of carbonation with a creamy watery mouthfeel. Not a bad beer, but not especially complex or overly flavorful. At 3.6 abv I could probably pound these all night, but the real question is would I want to?
