dp (488), uniontown, Ohio, USA Feb 16, 2008 widget can 3.6%, would be perfect to use as a prop in a movie, looks great, smooth creamy head, amber hue, even the aroma has a butterscotch that gets you expecting much more, all in all rather bland once you taste it
Rynoplasty (254), Louisville, Kentucky, USA Oct 12, 2008 Pours brown with a decent tan head. Taste is smooth and creamy malt, almost no hops. Ok but nothing great. nchomefinder (21), USA Sep 28, 2008 Charlotte Oktoberfest, pours hazy lt brown, almost no head. flavor is what you expect from an english pub ale. not my favorite pub ale, but not bad. KAggie97 (1924), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA Sep 25, 2008 Widget can. Pours with a dense, cheddar orange body with a thick, one-finger head. Aroma is classic English biter malt with a touch of butter. Flavor is flat, bitter malt with a sour nut finish. Watery and butter-slippery mouthfeel. Eh, just an average English ale. yayforbeer (595), Orange Park, Florida, USA Sep 16, 2008 $5.99 for a four pack of 14.9 oz nitro cans, but this was only 3.6%. Served cool in a proper pint glass. Clear pale copper beer with a big thick creamy head that stays the glass. Malty aroma and flavor and some hop bitterness at the end. OK flavor and very creamy mouthfeel, but overall very average and uninspiring. Not bad if you are looking for a low alcohol beer, but I give it a downcheck for that. Another Boddingtons, and thats not a compliment. Reminds me of all the similar pub ales I had in London when I was there with the Navy. zappafan99 (332), Rock Hill, South Carolina, USA Sep 3, 2008 Updated: Sep 6, 2008Taste 9/8 Widget Can(best by March 09). Looks: Silly nitrogen, tricks are for kids. Clear copper body with nice cascading foam. Aroma: A little yeast and malt sour. Taste: Makes boring taste exciting. Now with extra bland Creamy head, boredom and a little(I mean very little) bitter on the end.
