Not much character going on some smoothed out slight maltyness which is highlighted by the velvety texture of the brew. Really not much going on aroma-wise. Eh Toxygen (414), Sanford, Florida, USA

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Dec 1, 2009 This has a surprising amount of flavor for a macro nitro from england- lots of thick creamy light malt, slight bitterness, and overall delisciousness. There is more mouthfeel than flavor, which makes me perfectly happy ordering many of these. On tap for $3 a pint at Finnigan’s Wake in Key West, Florida. Sledutah (128), Utah, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 26, 2009 Enjoyed from a 16.9oz can in a pub glass. The beer pours a clear light to medium amber color with a thick and very creamy white head as a result of the "widget." The nose is initially slightly difficult to pin down, as a result of the thick head, but finally shows itself to be malt-centric, with some light caramel notes, along with a slight whiskey/winey character. The palate is relatively full, especially given the light carbonation. Initially it is a bit watery, followed by some nice med-crystal notes, and an assertive but balanced and nicely earthy hop bitterness in the back end. The finish is slightly fruity, but melds nicely with the rest of the flavors. Overall, a nice session beer that seems to be true to the style. A shame that many fail to appreicate it for its merits.
