COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Keg and nitro keg versions of Tetley @ 3.6% abv. The Extra Cold is the same beer, drawn from the same keg, but passing through a chiller 1 degree colder than the regular Smoothflow.

It has a very nice flavor and smoothness. The 3.6% alcohol is less than satisfactory.

When is poured a dark red beer can be seen. It’s quite interesting how the foam flow is really slow in the glass, with a nice and small head. The aroma has prevalent malt notes. The taste however is quite disappointing, it really doesn’t taste to anything, and the body is light and watery.

Keg @ the Standard, Bedford. This is not my usual type of beer, but I was in the mood for a macro rate so I thought ’what the hell’. Amber, clear after a long period of settling. Big head like a Mr Whippy. Faint aroma of grain with a hint of lemon. Taste: not too bad... initial sweet fades to sharper bitter finish and aftertaste. Gets very tedious very quickly. I prefer cask but if you’re into boring and unremarkable session beers then this is the one for you.

440ml can. The can opens with an big, intense hiss...pretty cool. Filtered honey-orange. color. Massive, thick, steady off-white head. Really enjoyable to me at first, as I have a serious lack of UK beer in my life. Very light on the palate, light to medium bodied I suppose. Buttery toffee, fishy weirdness, Not really that enjoyable to me by the end. Simple.cheap, bland. You want a little malt depth, or clean golden malt smoothness, this doesn’t have it. You want a little hop character, bite,balance... this just doesn’t have it.

Keg at the Lakeside while enjoying the darts and being subjected to a day of terrible beer. As a fully paid up member of CAMRA drinking a pint of this felt like sacrilege. I expected it to be bad and it was. Poured amber with a thick cream nitrogen blanket on top. Bland tasting in the extreme. Some malty flavour with an unpleasant vegetable finish. Watery and just bad. Why do people drink this crap?

(Keg): Amber colour, white creamy head. Aroma is weak, slight malt and fruit. Malty flavour, slight hops, fruit and biscuit. Was expecting much worse but it’s rather palatable compared to other mainstream beers.

Draught at Manor House Hotel, Newlands Corner, Surrey. Pale amber, creamy head. Fruity nose with old butter and boiled vegetables. Sweet with light body and creamy mouthfeel. Apply fruit, rotting vegeatbles and hay. Low-medium bitterness.

Draft at Miller and Carter, Solihull. Poured a lively medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is dry, weak malt leading to a medium to weak bitter, slightly hoppy, maly flavour. It’s cool, has a watery palate and is full of life. I guess they will sell loads on a hot summer day. It’s not the worst beer in the world by a long way.

Noe litt søtlig lukt. Gyllen brun farge. Tykt sittende skum. Litt tørr i munnen. Grei smak.
