It’s unclear yellow golden with a huge, creamy head. The aroma has notes of overripe fruits, yeast and wheat. The sweet flavor has notes of wheat, overripe fruits and yeast. The yeast notes are a bit too shy for my liking.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein trübes goldgelbes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch hefig, malzig fruchtig. Geschmack hefig, fruchtig, leicht bananig, etwas würzig.

Bottle looks simple but really good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts mild but not washy, fine yeasty and malty. Fruity notes of apricot. Mild sourish. Finish well balanced, still mild, quite drinkable.

mile (2878) - Helsinki, FINLAND - FEB 13, 2014
Bottle. Light golden, hazy, average to large and mostly lasting head. Light to moderate, malty – lightly wheaty and lightly sweetish aroma, light fruitiness and banana, faint hoppyness and yeast. Body is light to medium, malty - lightly wheaty and lightly sweetish flavor, faint fruitiness and banana. Finish is short to average, malty – lightly wheaty and lightly sweetish, faint fruitiness with light metal. Watery hefeweizen with notes of metal in the finish. Nice head though.

50cl bottle, from source. Had this on draught at the source and a few bottles: unsurprisingly for a brewery operating at the base of the Tettnang hop fields, even their Hefeweizen is infused with typical delicate Tettnanger hop grassiness, complementing the more typical banana and citrus aromas of the nose with a great zesty bitterness in the taste and dry palate. Almond malts ("bio") producing heaps of fine marzipan here, complimenting jonagold and pineapple fruity notes. Far above the soggy Weizen crowd in both the South of BW, Bavaria and the German rest. Not that big a fan of wheat beers in general, but given that the rest of the world struggles to even produce a credible Hefe, this stellar and characterful one feels shamelessly underrated.

On tap in Austria. Love the taste of this one, great thick white head and cloudy golden color. Gosh I love Hefeweizen!

Hazy golden with a lasting white head. Malty aroma with strong phenolic notes, clove and vanilla. Dry and a little tart flavour with strong phenolics

Idiosynkrasie (3623) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - MAR 21, 2013
500ml bottle. Hazy pale golden colour with average, frothy to macropore, diminishing, white head. Slightly strange grassy aroma, some yeast, some clove, hints of apple in the background. Taste is moderately spicy yeasty, some clove, minimally sweet wheat malty basis with unspecific fruit notes near apple and pear. Hefeweizen with slightly uncommon nuances, a little bit "dirty", but not bad for this reason.
