COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is our favorite beer to drink. We like to call it our "LIGHT BEER" because it is so drinkable for its size; weighing in at 10.54% ABV (Alcohol by volume). This is a Belgian Blonde Ale, brewed with a CrAzY amount of malt and little Belgian candi syrup to give it that rich Belgian flavor. Hopped with just enough earthy Sterling hops to leave a little sweet rich malt flavor, which makes this beer go down so smooth. We work hard to get our yeast to attenuate, keeping the body down, so it seems much lighter than it really is.

Bottle:   Dirty orangish straw, fine sediment about, thin frothy off-white head, little lacing.   Semi-sweet doughy and bready aroma.   Faint floral and fruity notes.   Seems more citrusy, doughy, with some dank barnish notes on the tongue.   Not heavy in the bready sense, which so many American brewers do.   This was a bit of a surprise to me.   Backside is a bit musty, faint floral and citrusy, doughy.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Th 10.5% ABV is very well hidden.   Better than expected.   Thanks Bill!

Dark golden brew with no head due to pouring so slow into glass to keep sediment at bottom from stirring up. Love that this brewer still bottle conditions. Smells of booze and spice which is not bad. Taste is a hit of alcohol with some sugar and spice and everything nice kind of deal going for it. Little bit of malty sweetness with some spicy hops to keep it from being candy and that alcohol twang to put it all into shape for a real strong ale. Good stuff, just too expensive to enjoy often.

Pours orange-amber with little head. Caramel, fruity sweetness, biscuit. Hides its alcohol quite well.

Bottle from Ashley. Light orange with a massive head that took a solid ten ounces of my glass. Aroma is earthy and crazy sweetness. Taste is way sweet, so much syrup, agh. Sticky finish.

Bottle. The look is cloudy, not blonde, copper colored, and has a big foamy beige head. The smell is sweet, fruits, styrofoam, sugary, and star fruit. The taste is about the same, alcohol, and malt.

651 ml. bottle. Pours a thick, very well retained, ivory head, with some lacing, over a hazy light gold (SRM 4) body.....nose is candi sugar, treacle, light toasted malts with biscuit, toast, minimal hops......taste is sweet with light honey tones, candi lsugar, hints of cereal, finishing sweet, light pepper, with a terminal mild bitterness.....mouth feel, light body, high alcohol burn, sticky, light acidity, low carbonation. This misses the style of Belgian Golden Strong, which the brewery indicated was the goal. It is too simply sweet, without the appropriate, phenolics, esters, and finishing balancing dryness and bitterness. Higher fermentation temperature, perhaps a change of yeast and perhaps lowering the candidate sugar would make a difference. BJCP 6/3/12/3/6

$6.29/22 oz. bottle. It poured a golden blonde, and yes, it does have an appearance of a "light beer." The aroma has some black pepper and other spice like yeast esters. Maybe even some banana. The taste has some banana with more black pepper and spices. It’s followed by some sweetness with an unpleasing finish. Enough so that I’ll have a hard time finishing a single glass of this. It’s has a touch of a syrup feel but not as much as you’d expect from such a big blonde beer. The palate is slightly sticky. This brewery seems to portray that BIG BRASH LOUD Texan that most people find obnoxious. You know the kind in the movies. Fortunately it’s not the norm here, but I commend them for being who they are and being proud about it.

22 oz. bottle. The nose starts off with a light malts, followed by some subtle yeast esters. Taste is light breadiness to begin. Prominent fruity Belgian yeast with large amounts of pale malt character to this beer overall. The body is light to medium with a medium carbonation. The only reason I could recognize the ABV was by the warming sensation after the sip. No alcohol flavor at all. Very well made brew.
