Dec 2, 2005 Stopped here on the home to Nashville. This is the only drinkable beer they had in my opinion. Lighting was dim, but the color appeared to be black, with an off white creamy head. Typical coffee lactose aroma. Flavor has a roasted tinge at first, but goes down sweet. Mild bitterness on the finish.

Nov 23, 2005 On tap at Macon’s only brewery. Nice jet black color and foamy, khaki head. Smoky, charcoaly flavor was brief, but definitely there. No bite here, though - silky smooth, almost like a Gunniess. I would guess that alcohol content is quite low (< 5%). Overall, not a bad beer from a joint where the home brews run the gauntlent from decent to dispicable.

Nov 4, 2003 Coffee and lactose aroma. Very interesting nutty and woody (No. 2 Pencil) flavor. Medium bittering, satisfying mouthfeel. Medium-long char-bitter finish. Sweet on the lips. Nothing wrong with this.
