Bottle drank at Polpo Matto. Clear brown pour with an off white head. Sweet malty aromas. Sweet and malty with some dark fruit notes. More like a dubbel than a bock. Medium body and mouthfeel. Good carbonation..

[Bottle at the Bootlegger, High Wycombe] Brown with a large beige head and too much fizz. Had flavours of toffee, butter, and a little chocolate. Felt thin and yet vaguely cloying in the mouth. Weak-tasting given the high ABV. Perhaps it was hurt by comparison to the cask ales that I had the rest of the night, but this really didn’t do it for me. c8

caramel-coloured beer, lightly opaque with a light head. Sweetish woody caramel smell. Heavy, alcoholic with hints of cumin and cardamom. Sour-bitter watery with an alcoholic twang. Dry finish. Lightly chocolate taste with some wood and some spices. Quite salty. OK bok.

7%, rather fruity bock beer. Nice balance of burst sugar and hips, with a background of sweet dark fruit. Tasty and easy to drink.

Hazy, dark brown colour. Sweet aroma with some caramel and smoke. Rich texture. Nice, crisp taste with plenty of sweet roasted malts.

Reddish brown beer, white head. Aroma of malts, caramel, pear, dark fruits. Flavour sweet malts, caramel, some burned malts bitterness. Quite full-bodied, malty finish.
