UPDATED: SEP 11, 2012 This used a very good Bock, but apperently, the recipe has changed. Now it is a sweet, malty beer with some metal in the aftertaste. Not great anymore. Such a pity, this was a real evergreen.

Bottle. A malty aroma, light sour and yeasty, later with some chocolate notes. The pale beige foamy head is medium large with a medium duration, the body is dark red. The taste is malty, milk chocolate with a light bitter finish which reminds me a little bit of a cola. The body is medium strong, creamy and dry with a lively carbonation.

Countbeer (4755) - Best of E-Town mit ein Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - NOV 29, 2010
Bottle: Off white foamy head disappears slow. Amber dark brown colored beer. Smell is fruity with hints of toasted malts, caramel, and sweets. Taste is less fruity than smell still sweet: caramel, toasted malts, liquorice, dark fruits, hints of brown sugars and hops and a slight hint of yeast. Good beer.

What a tasty bockbeer this is. Creamy, with a nice caramel flavoured taste in the background. in november 2010 chosen the best bockbeer in the Netherlands by Pint.

Bottle @ home. Malty, no make that very malty, light hop note and a touch of metal. Flavour is metallic malt with spices and faint hops. Not bad, just boring.

sayravai (4673) - Helsinki, FINLAND - SEP 7, 2010
(Bottled, 7% ABV) Hazy dark ruby with a small, but persistent and firm, lacy head. Aroma is dried-fruity and sweetish-malty, with some berries, slight oxidation, and a touch of metal. Flavor is lightly roasty, grainy-caramely, mildly alcoholic, lowish bitterness. Medium to full body, soft carbonation. A quite enjoyable, pleasantly full-bodied bock - although maybe not the most complex one. 5337
