TBone (4841), Pori, Finland Apr 21, 2008 Bottled
Courtesy of bierkoning, ty Edo! Clear dark ruby color, small beige head. Strong ryebread malty aroma, also some molasses. Sweet syrapy palate. Candy sugar, dark bread, raisins and hints of licorice. As usual with Dutch beers, very sweet, but in this brew sweetness is quite pleasant. Finish has some alcohol and roasted malts. Ryeish-roasted-sweetish doppelbock. Another above average beer from Texels.

Sweetish, worty, toffeish, caramelly, berryish and bready flavor with notes of licorice, chocolate and prunes. Smooth and pleasant. thewolf (3392), Kolding, Denmark May 26, 2008 Bottle. [thank you skortila/caesar]
Pours deep mahogany brown with red edges. Fine, small, creamy, off-white head on top. Sweet aroma, good raisins and plums feel. Some rye bread and berries as well. Okay mouthfeel. Flavour has initially quite a lot of dark, dry chocolate, good fruitiness still prevails. A little vinious trace of the 7,5%. A dry, lightly chocolatey finish. Nice. Quack-Duck (1631), Bodensee, Germany May 1, 2008 bottle, thank you MoritzF! Clear dark brown colour, small head. Very aromatic, sweet and fruity. Full-bodied, sweet, malty and fruity with a good portion of aromatic bitter hops with a herbal touch. Bullit (486), Zeist, Netherlands Apr 16, 2008 Dark brown colour, tan head.
