Stevig schuim. Donkerbruin/amber, licht troebel. Aroma: noten, caramel, malt, alcohol. Goede balans van bitter en zoet, alcohol komt door in de smaak. Fles liet 7% zien, niet 7,5 zoals hier aangegeven. Licht droog.

Vol en aardig complex aroma, met fruit mix, als aardbei, banaan en peer. Bij eerste besnuffeling ook het prikkelende aroma van lijm, niet vervelend, ook koffie genoteerd. Smaak valt zoet met gesuikerd fruit, maar kort erna iets scherps van peper en asbak (alhoewel dit nooit geproefd te hebben), en wat chemisch. Nasmaak is een twijfelaartje, licht branderig.

Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass quite dark, nice head. Starts strong, malty, a bit moldy. Finish with some fruity hints, more balanced, quite dry. Not bad!

Average frothy head, mostly diminishing. Body is flat and dark ruby red. Aroma contains caramel and some fruits like lemon. Flavor is predominantly sweet, with light bitterness, to finish sweet, light acidic and some bitterness. Palate is medium and syrupy, with soft carbonation. Taste is fine, but there are no surprises and little development.

Clear dark ruby color with beige head, quickly diminishing. Aroma is caramel, same for taste. Some bitter in taste and more so in aftertaste, but sweet caramel is always present. (Velp 201211)
