Bottled. Deep dark amber color, off-white head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, and sugar. Flavour is too sweet, hints of caramel, mouthfeel is sweety.

Bottle 300 ml. Light caramel aroma,clear red-brownish colour, mildly carbonated, light medium bitter flavour

(30cl bottle) Pours a clear amber body with a small off-white head. Aroma of raisins, caramel, cocoa, light roasted malt, brown sugar, and toffee. Flavor of raisins, toffee, light roasted malt, and caramel.

Bottle. The aroma is nice malty, light alcoholic, some bread. The dark white creamy-foamy head is medium large and has a normal duration. The body is dark brown. A nice malty taste, a little bit smoky. The body is light to medium strong, creamy with a soft carbonation.

Bottle from Jumbo supermarket, Den Burg, Texel, Netherlands, 27.09.11 consumed outside Frank (camper) at Den Hoorn campsite, Texel island the same evening Pours chestnut with a good clarity. There is a very slight metallic edge to this and at first I felt it was a little tinny tasting. However it is better than expected and a decent Dubbel, soft in mouth with a nice carbonation. Some caramel, and a nice fruity tang finish things off, good beer despite my initial thoughts. A5 A5 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4

Bottle (Dank an Quack-Duck!): "Dirty" amber coloured, lots of floaties visible; restrained sweet caramelly nose with delicate traces of roasted malt, vinous-fruity (dried fruits...) undertones; light to moderate sweet-bitter flavour, pretty light bodied, but soft; short caramelly finish, followed by a slight bitterness in the aftertaste. Not bad, but boring.....

Bottle courtesy bu11zeye. This beer pours a clear reddish orange amber color with a foamy beige head. Lots of suspended sediment in the beer. Aroma is dry malts, caramel notes and some peanuts. Flavor is caramel malts, sweet notes and sugar. Medium dry finish with some spice.

Bottle. Dark brown, small to average and mostly diminishing light brown head. Moderate, malty and sweet aroma, caramel, faint roasted malt – burnt sugar. Body is medium, malty and sugary sweet flavor, caramel, faint roasted malt. Finish is short to average, malty and sweetish, caramel and some alcohol, faint roasted malt. Sugary sweet “dubbel”.
