aroma is very blend in nose, some soft malts not much more... mouth is better, some malts, citrus, sugar/honey/caramel? some, spices, and murky malts... too sweet, not that good, but quite drinkable

Bottle at home. Hazy copper pour, thin white head. Aroma is slightly spicy, somewhat malty, some licorice and slightly metallic. Flavor is bitter, dry, malty, spicy and overall quite subtle. Well balanced and a decent body, but lacking character.

Bottle @ home. Aroma is grassy flowery hops, some malt, slight metal note. Flavour is medium sweet with a big red and dried fruit note, some subtle yeasty notes with a light bitter liquorice fruit and yeast finish. Nice.

Yet another beer not on the menu but brought to me by the owner/landlord of the excellent Cafe De Grendelpoort, Valkenburg in Holland. 22 Oct 2012 and I asked if he had anything amber he wasn’t showing in the beer menu: a 33cl bottle of this came my way. To be honest I found it a bit boring from start to finish and went back to the on-tap Ayinger Celebrator straight away afterwards. Clean amber pour, with a small white head. Malts just about rule the nose and palate: broken down I found biscuity, bready and yeasty notes in both the aroma and taste but nothing strong enough to excite my senses. This is almost bland: of course having it inbetween something as tasty as the Ayinger Celebrator can’t have helped the brew a great deal.

Bottled. An amber beer with a huge off-white head. The aroma has notes of caramel, yeast, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, dusty hops, and malt, leading to a dry bitter finish.

Good yellowish head on clear copper-amberish beer. Herbal and grassy notes in the nose, Bit toasted malts, and touch of parsley. Spicy-sweet flavour, rootspices, very toasted flavour. Well-carbonated, medium bodied. Forgettable.
