3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: AUG 1, 2011 Brown, cloudy beer with hefeweizen aroma of caramel, banana and wheat. Sticky head. A quite sweet beer packing a fine alcoholic fruitiness. Unfortunately there’s also a lot of soap and metallic notes. This brewery can do much better. (Bottle 33 cl bought at Texel)

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught at Arendsnest. Orange-brown color with a tall, fine head. Spicy, caramel, wheat malt aroma, slightly tangy. Very interesting wheat character--neither German nor Belgian really. Some banana, tangy, cakey, very sweet and spicy. Good and original.

Bottled, 330ml at Cafe Belgique, Utrecht. Hazed amber with white head. Lots of CO2 present giving a wet cardboard flavour to the beer, buttery, some lemon. Not good.

Decent taste with faint hints of wheat, some earth and orange. Gets better when the beer warms up. Ok for drinking some bottles on an evening.

2.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle at home. Pours a murky orange color with a small, cream colored head that laces. Somehow the aroma is too faint to comprehend. Maybe this beer should warm up a little. Flavor is also very watery but not too bad, some wheat and yeast and just a tiny hint of bitterness. Slightly refreshing it is. Would go down like water in the summer.
