Excellent white head deposits cover the cloudy amber pour and laces its way down the glass with every sip. Frank and fresh wheaty nose with chewy biscuity maltiness takes the first line. Beyond, a banana puree and again fresh bread impart a genuine softness. Those flavours keep up in mouth and simply appear pure, beautifully extracted and plain charming. Simple, but terrific execution. Hugely refreshing. More please!

Draught at Arendsnest. Frothy white fair mostly lasting head. Dark yellow colour. Week aroma lacking both esters and roast. Moderate bitter flavor. Oily palate. Not a good dunkelweizen.

On tap@’t Arendsnest. Cloudy orangey amber with a medium-sized tan head. Neutral fruits aroma with a strange mix of spices. Slightly sour. A god deal of spicy flavours. Underlying sour fruit. A bit off?

Carried home from the Cracked Kettle in Amsterdam. A nice beer, although a little light. Flavor has minimal banana but abundant wheat and yeast. Some alcohol in there as well. Aroma is wheaty and yeasty, but no citrus and only a hint of banana. I do like the lack of bubblegum flavor. Cloudy brown, tall thick cream colored head, and some sediment.

Bottle. Unclear amber orange color with a average frothy fair lacing mostly lasting beige head. Aroma is light malty, caramel, moderate yeasty, light banana, light brown sugar or can sugar. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

(Bottle 30 cl) Courtesy of jbrus/tbone_. Pours a slightly hazy amber golden with an off-white head. Sweetish, fruity nose. Medium body, sweetish caramel and some Hubbabubba-like fruit notes. Has a vague, underlying tartness. Quite all right really but very far from your typical Dunkelweizen. 300607

330ml bottle (Pub Rotterdam, Helsinki) Healthy deep orange/red colour, and a pleasant sweet wheaty-malty and fruity aroma - sweet fruits like peach and ripe apples, but not esterous. Taste was a little disappointing, sharp on the tongue matching the aroma, and quite refreshing, but with no staying power. Worth a try, definitely.

tap at Arendsnest, march 07. Mineral aroma and a slight caramel touch. Malty, minerally feeling and a sweet, moreish finnish. Medium MF, with a salty finnish. Well made amber wit.

from crackedkettle.com - cloudy brown colour with almost no foam; aroma of old apples, pear and dust; sweet, medium to full-bodied, solid carbonation and an unclean palate; a bit heavy; lot of residual sweetness; fruity and yeasty finish with notes of cinnamon - not bad though a bit homebrew-like

(Bottled) Very hazy amber color with a medium head. Sourish, wheaty aroma with lots of diacetyl. Sourish-malty, dry, dunkelweizen-like flavor with some ashiness and strawberry hints. Medium-bodied, dry-ashy, low-carbonated palate. Not very clean, but pleasantly dry and microbreweryish.
