Troebel donkergeel. Ruikt naar mout en wat appel en alcohol. Smaakt frisbitter met een wat zoetere afdronk. Goed te jeppen.

Tasted 13/4/2013 draught at Cafe De Kletskop, Amsterdam. Poured a translucent mid-brown colour with a one-finger white foamy head that retained very well and laced well. No carbonation bubbles. Aroma of grain, sweet malt and floral hops. Taste of sweet caramels. Light body. Nice but a bit sweet for me.

Not so tasteful springbeer. Almost no aftertaste. Taste is malty and a bit sweet but try another beer to really enjoy the spring ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: MAR 30, 2014 Rerate: tap @ de poort, medium sample. Slight hazy golden color, medium head. Aroma of slight salty seawater, bit grassy hop. Like you are walking along the seashore with a typical spring breeze. Taste is medium bitter, citrussy, hint of caramel sweetness. Quite ok. Original rating: 2.8. Bottle. Slight hazy golden color, medium slight off-white head. Aroma is grainy, some hop, hint of spicy yeast, slight soapy. Some flowery note as well. Bit sharp taste, flowery, medium bitter. Some sugary sweetness.

300 ml bottle, poured into a tulip glass. ABV 7,5% Two fingers of white, soapy head, good retention and nice lacing around the glass. Bits and pieces floating in the glass despite my careful pour. Colour of the beer itself is a nice deep orange golden one. Not much of an aroma, some light hops smell and that’s it. Bittersweet taste, not much here either, again some little hops and some fruity notes. It doesn’t have a bad taste but it’s not anything extraordinary or even remarkable either. Medium on the body, light carbonation. Well, I like the Texelse brewery and the Texel island too, although I have only been once, but this beer is quite average. refreshing and pleasantly drinkable, but average.
