On Tap at Arendsnest with Bierkoning. Pours a nice light blonde with good carbonation and a lasting white head. Aroma is dusty and slightly dirty yeast with lemon citrus notes, doughy malts with light vanilla and clove phenol. Flavor has some soap in it as well as sulfur, more dusty malts, crackers, light medicinal. Finish iis a bit on the sweet side and not dry- and a bit harsh. Meh.

Hazy orange color, light yeasty nose, Cool-Whip-like head. Salty aftertaste. Not getting any of the complexities of a tripel here. Full body, but sweet and soapy feel.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
On draft at Arendsnest, Amsterdam. Not a lot of love, I see. Granted this isn’t like every tripel you’ve tried before.. or is it? Yeah, this is a pretty standard tripel, but that’s not a bad thing. Sweet with malt, coy with hops, bursting with yeast. I liked it.
