(Bottle, Monk’s Café, Stockholm) Pale orange colour with huge, firm, white head leaving lots of lacing. Fruity nose with notes of lemon peel, orange, apricots and hints of coriander. Fruity taste with orange, grapefruit and a spicy, dry finish with a nice, harsh, hoppy bitterness. Lots of spices and hops coming through after a while. Nice and tasty brew.

Bottled. Hazy orange/golden colour with mediumsized head, which becomes a thin layer quite quickly. The layer stays until end though. Aroma is orange, with some caramel and earth in it. Flavour is caramel, medicine, grass and yeast. The yeast gets stronger in the aftertaste, along with fruity sweetness, making the aftertaste slightly weird, and I’m not sure if it’s in a good or bad way. Overall a quite nice beer.

UPDATED: FEB 21, 2007 Bottled at Monk’s Café, Stockholm. Cloudy golden, small head. Orange nose with some dust. Sweet dense malt lies underneath blanket of of grassy dusty hops that dris out the beer. Medium bodied. A solid, interesting, well balanced beer reminiscent of a crossing between Einbecker Urbock and a Belgian tripel.

(Bottled) Hazy orange-amber with a smallish, lasting head. Orange-fruity aroma with perfumy-soapy hops, some spiciness and alcohol. Fruity, sweetish, but still quite burning-alcoholic flavor with reasonable bitterness, and a dryish finish. Medium to full-bodied, slightly syrupy and foamy, medium carbonation. A quite drinkable triple, but could hide the alcohol better.

Bottled 30cl. Hazy orange color, firm head, floating yeast. Fruity and soapy aroma, not very strong. Quite hoppy tripel, same time also lots of sweetness here. Citrus bitter aftertaste. Would be better with less sugar.

Pours a nice hazy gold, lots of yeast floaties. Smallish head that quickly recedes. Aroma is very sweet, a little bit of yeast. Nothing special so far...Taste is very nice. The hops and the alcohol cut the sweetness. Mouthfeel is a little thin.

Bottled. A hazy amber to orange coloured beer with a dissipating off-white head. The aroma is fruity and warming alcohol. Some yeast notes as well. The taste is also fruity and a little peppery, and there is a good dosage of hop especially for this style. Good warming alcohol, maybe even a little alcohol burn. Full bodied and tasty. Certainly the best effort from this brewery that I’ve had.

Draught. Very weak, dry fruit aroma. Cloudy golden colour, no head. Quite clean tasting for a tripel, but with some yeast to it. Warming, peppery aftertaste.
